Hi all, my name's Jay!

This account is older than I was when I first made it, and nearly a whole decade of my life is stored here.

Much like many other artists, DeviantArt's overall change in layout and general unwillingness to listen to its community has driven a lot of us away. It saddens me to see such a thriving community descend to crickets.

I've never stopped drawing and I've never stopped creating. These past years, I've picked up an interest in Web Development and Internet Archives. Many artists don't want their old art still available for the world to see, and I perfectly acknowledge that I'm the odd one in this!

That being said, as of writing this, I'm in the process of reuploading my old art to the Booru section of my Personal Website, I know how important so many of these old pictures can be to people, and I mourn art from artists who were so influential towards the person I am, that now exists only in my memory of it.

My Booru, while focused on my art, also includes artwork that was drawn for me, and the fact that I'm still holding on to art that was created for me a whole decade ago, from artists with deleted accounts who might be living entirely different lives since then, I hope it speaks to my love and affection to this community and the formative years I've spent on here.

While I don't personally believe My art specifically changed someone's life, I don't want to take the ability to experience it away from someone else. I take solace in knowing that even when we die, in some form, our work will be eternal.
