How about a Carrot Farmer?

Description

Screen study, to practise lighting and choosing colors. Didn't use the eyedropper tool, tried to get the colors I wanted by looking. I did use brush and layer modes though.

I like the fact that you used the cloth/grain to add texture to the painting. The brush strokes on Nick's face are quite clean and it looks like an oil painting based on the layering I can see on the upper part of the fence. Now the left side of the gate looks a bit messy so I'm not sure what you were going for but I do like the depth of field perception that a photographer strives for where you are making Nick the main subject matter by keeping him in focus while Judy and his tail are blurred. The attempt at back-lighting is also well done. If this is an oil painting manually done, yes, it is a very good effort. If you used a computer program, still well done!
