Hi! I'm an amateur artist, just recently getting into drawing. I will at first be drawing My Little Pony things, but I'll eventually get to anime and more stuff like that. I really want feedback on my drawings, so if you feel that there's something I'm doing really well or that I can improve, do not hesitate to tell me!
HERMAGLERBALYGLERP!!!! I LOVE IT!!!! FANTASTIC WORK HERE, OH MY GOSH!!! The colors are amazing, and the shading is 10/10, and I just overall love everything about this piece! I love how you did her mane and tail, although the tail DOES look slightly awkward--probably how it curls. Also, there is one strand of hair that goes by her right eye that just seems...off--like, I don't feel like it frames her face correctly. That blue light under her wings is so mysterious and adds a tiny bit more mood to the piece--LOOOVE IT! Now the moon: It adds depth perception! However, when I first glanced at it, I was a bit confused as to where it was--I mean, for a few moments I honestly thought that it was hiding behind some mountains! But it's okay! After looking at it and wondering for a bit, I now realize what the moon's actually doing. All's good! By the way, LOVE the paper airplanes; they compliment the dream-like feel of the piece very nicely.
Augh, I just love everything about this! Overall, I give you 9.90/10! Keep up the good work!
I really, really, REALLY like this piece! The way Celest--er, Solar Flare looks at her crown, remembering her past. The grief in her eyes is very obvious, the tears falling down her cheeks making her grief more obvious. The shadows/memories of Luna and Twilight look great; they blend into her fiery mane and tail (which, by the way, look very great, although I feel as if they could've been a bit bigger) perfectly, and they look almost tangible, even though they're clearly just memories, created by Solar reflecting on her past. Her charred wings and flank add to her fiery character, and I really like the way you can see that the back of her neck is also charred, because of her mane.
Shading is great, as always. And you've really sort of added a depth perspective on the viewer (or at least, that's how it is to me). And I really like the way you drew the mist coming out from the cracks in the ground. This shows just how intense Solar's heat really is. In the distance, you can tell that Solar really outdid herself, most likely burning everything in sight, judging by the orange light everywhere. Details make the piece look stunning.
As I mentioned before, I think that her mane and tail could've been a bit bigger. I kind of feel as if they were a bit too small. The same goes for the magical aura around her crown and horn--I just don't feel as if they were prominent enough.
Overall, this is excellent work! (It's even fanfiction-worthy, and that's a feat!) As with every one of your works, I love every pixel of it. Details make everything realistic, and once again, I really love this artwork of yours.
You did an amazing job at this! Absolutely splendid! The hydra heads look menacing, the mist and the colors in the background make everything look kind of ethereal and mysterious. I LIKE THAT. The shading is on point, Twilight's colors are also on point, you reflected the light of the cavern off the hydra correctly, the mist kind of looks like actual mist to me, excellent job on that!
Now, about Twilight's expression: it doesn't look very fierce, or in danger, and to me it doesn't have any trace of determination. To me, her expression kind of looks bored, like "Really, THIS is a hydra?" and kind of disappointed. I think that her eyes could've been more wide open, or the eyebrows more at an angle, or the mouth positioned differently (e.g. opened more)--this would most likely make her look more shocked. Or if you don't want shocked, then determined and concentrated. Her pose doesn't look very threatening/threatened either. And there are two of the hydra heads that aren't paying attention to Twilight. Like the one on the far right--then again, I'm assuming that he's like this because of a blast Twilight threw at him, seeing as there are also rocks falling in his area. That's what it looks like, at least. And the one next to it it staring at its brother-head sadly, completely ignoring Twilight as well. I'm sure this has a little background, but at a first glance, it seems as if the heads are 'lazy' and don't care.
Overall, it is a great piece, and gets me in the mood to write some epic fantasy (which is what I SHOULD be doing at the moment).
