Day 9: Hanging out with friends

Surprise wasn't able to pay attention while Spitfire's speach and all. When you hear her talking about same thing again and again, it gets kinda boring. But then she noticed something that got her attention. It's probably hard to not get noticed by somepony when your marefriend has full rainbow-colored tail, isn't it, Soarin'?

Headcanon time! Wooh!
1) Let's say it as simple as I can! Wonderbolts having sessions (I think I can call it that way?) at mess hall at academy ( vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/m… )after work.
2) Sooo.. some of you might notice I didn't draw Surprise the way she looks in actual show. Well, that's because... I don't like her design and the fact they gave her magenta eyes :T Like.. Blaze and her have totally same hairstyle... So I got little more inspired by Surprise from G1 of MLP (aka G1 version of Pinkie Pie) and made her hair more curly (you know, some more Wonderbolts have curly-like hair too so I see no prob with that) and gave her purple eyes. I had no idea about cutie mark tho, idk if I should give her balloons too or.. well, let's wait and see what canon cutie mark she has (if we ever see it), let's pretend she covers it with her wing here. I will give her cutie mark most likely only when I draw her again with pose where it should be visible xD BUT! I have been trying to draw my own design for her pretty long time but it never came out looking that good for me to like it... Until now! I am pretty much ok with this design now so idk if I ever change it xD

I originally wanted to draw them with mane 6 or so but... Let's just say Soarin' is probably way closer with Wonderbolts (duh!) and since RD is Wonderbolt now too so... yeah.
Anyway! This was probably the fastest pic I ever did with so many ponies, geez. Not even lineart took as long as I expected it to, it probably took less than when I usually do pic of 2 ponies. Probably cuz I pretty much enjoyed drawing Wonderbolts xD I am pretty sure I didn't draw Blaze, Surprise, Fire Streak and Wave Chill yet.. well, on finished drawing I posted at least. I did sketch Surprise (old design I gave her) and Blaze already.. on paper tho so don't search for them in my gallery xD Oh well, hope ya like it! :3
