My name is Makoto Niijima. Normally, I excel at booksmarts. When I had attended Shujin Academy, I was always top of my class. I took pride in my academic studies, and I felt accomplished in it. However, I have come to realize that despite that, I do tend to struggle a bit in more social situations. Nothing too major, thankfully. But I have begun to take notice of some instances when my judgment of social interactions would lead me to make a few clumsy mistakes or misunderstandings. I’ve been thinking about that a bunch recently, all thanks to a certain day that I doubt I’ll be able to forget anytime soon. It started out like any regular day. The 19th of May.
