In the past couple of days, I've posted quite a bit of stuff about my new favorite show, Regular Show.
Thanks to the accessibility provided by the internet, specifically Deviantart, I was able to conduct an interview with Regular Show's creator, JG Quintel, where we discussed the '80s, children's cartoons, and what it's like to voice your own character.
Moniqueblog: How did you get started in art?
Quintel: I've always been drawing. And I've always wanted to make cartoons. My parents were really supportive and put me in art classes and even got me a camera that I used to start making things animate. I kinda went from there.
You said in an interview with Half Channel that one of your influences is Beavis and Butthead. What other shows/pop-culture would you consider influences on your work, humor, etc.?
Lots of stuff, I like a lot of British television. Things like League of Gentlemen, Mighty Boosh, IT crowd, Little Britain, Trailer Park Boys, Summer Hights
