Literature Text

once i believed we're one and the same
  each other's reflection
    a one-to-one correspondence

your conformations apparently indistinguishable
  yet if i squint
    i can tell when you're
    anti in agitation,
    bemusedly gauche,
    or comfortably staggered
      so can you to me...
        since we mirror each other

we used to fight over configurational matters
arguing across double bonds of cis and trans
then we poked at the chiral spots
      effectively diastereomeric

perchance we become enantiomers
  why don't you superimpose me

even if we become separated by matters of light
  why don't you superimpose me

before isometric affection mutes into isomeric affectation
  why don't you superimpose me...

Yet another beautifully written poem. I would write more about it, but I can't because in all honesty, I am crap at Science and I don't really understand... ^^;

:-) Well, maybe you don't have to understand all of it... that's the poet's job. :P
