Big Enough for Two: Part IV
The rest of July passed quickly, and Sylvi refrained from baking anything else for Julius. This was not a hard task when it was Leoni who had been the one to beg her roommate to bring desserts to their coworker. Julius had complained a few times about the difficulty of losing weight in the past two weeks, which dampened Leoni’s enthusiasm for trying to get him to eat more. Sylvi couldn’t say for sure, but their friend at the Nature Centre didn’t seem like he had lost any weight at all since he’d halfheartedly accepted the cupcakes she’d baked.
The first week of August brought Sommerfest, which was an important time for Hvitbard. It was a five-day festival featuring the food, music, and artisan crafts from the north of the country, and it brought with it masses of tourists to celebrate.
