Description

Finished practice speedpaint thingie, because I freaking missed my Tarot cards. This is technically not a Tarot card, it just looks like one - to beh onest I really wanted to start another card series, because I wanna leave the horses behind a bit - just from time to time - and I needed something new that can keep pushing me forward and challenging me. The original plan was - and still is - to extend my manip style more toward photobashing, because I think that is a more... living thing. But several days ago I felt like I wanna dive into painting again - I did not paint a while and I also decided to go back to the art bases, like perspective and such, because I felt I have a problem with that, because I did not put enough effort into learning those and now I am struggling. And that was kinda the second best art decision in my life. I am not saying this is perfect - it is, I still forget to flip the canvas when I am in the middle of the painting and doing it once I am finished aaaaand, yeah, that is a problem. But I checked the sketch several times at least! And the sketch was good! Things slipped ab it here or there during painting though, so I have to keep in mind to check my stuff.) But I am still happy with the outcome!!!! :D (Considering the fact I couldn't paint anything to save my life a year ago, this is progress xD)

Not gonna lie, Memuii has freaking amazing Tarot card artworks and yes that highly inspired me - ever since I saw those - to give this a try.

Oh also, this is my Akkadorian boy, Tonfall :3

PS.: Interesting fact: I failed to paint Tonfall for several times, and finally I did it!!! :D

The framing of this is SO appealing, with the ring and pendants and that subdued background. Great work!
