Well... been working on this on and off for about a month or so. Between work and school I dont have much free time to paint anymore :( *is sad* I suppose it's not very..... good. I was really into when i first started but it's grown stale to me. I think my foliage and beginning to incorporate backgrounds is good, but I think it seems stiff since i'm still doing basic anatomical positions with very little perspective and dynamics.

I enjoy painting the queen a lot, but the owl was certainly a break from people :giggle: She's strolling along in the royal gardens and is so haughty that she even insists the wildlife kiss her by command and loyalty. :D

I drew the pencil sketch (which was like a 3x4inch D:< ) in England two years ago. I was making fun of the queen of England even though the character is quite the opposite of her attitude. This is by NO MEANS the red queen!! I was going to paint her in white but that was too much like Queen Elizabeth's actual dress when she took to the thrown :XD: and i've never seen a queen in blue or green or any other color for that matter :P

anyways, i hope you like it. I am going to start a poster that has Red Rider and her wolf-dog in it again. This time there will be a better composition and landscape in the background :) hopefully once i finish that, i will start working on more dynamic and flowing images.

I know that pain of disliking something part way into it but pushing to finish it anyway. That doesn't seem apparent in this, though. I think it's excellent. You blended that realism and stylized look in such a wonderful way and paid attention to so much. Really professional looking.
