MegaMan Battle Network Chrono X is a freeware fan-game by MegaDudes Productions that aims to replicate the experience of Battle Network to perfection to deliver a theoretical Battle Network "7". The story will continue from the adventures of Lan and will connect in some way to the Distant Finale as seen in Battle Network 6. It is currently the most progressive Battle Network fan-game on the Internet. This project started in 2009 and has made enormous amounts of progress since.

The 21st of March celebrates MegaMan Battle Network's 20th anniversary! As such, we have an additional update for you guys to celebrate 20 years of this game's history. I proudly present, MeMENTO form number 4 of 5...
Burner MeMENTO! We revealed this on Discord and our social media channels last night, but we wanted to make sure that everyone on deviantART got a chance to see it as well! As a kid I greatly enjoyed BN4, but unfortunately it doesn't quite appeal to me the same way as it did back then, maybe due to replaying both versions a total of 7+ time to get all the souls and 100% them...Ah well, BurnerMan.EXE as a Navi was always a cool concept, and I can think of no better Navi to have a spot as the fire MeMENTO than him.

I saw the video of this thing you guys were working on, and I didn't even know this was happening! It's awesome! 

I'll make fanarts for ya, all of you are super amazing!

(Off-topic, but I still wanna say this. Hehe. Maybe in the far future... we have hope for a REAL and awesome crossover of SF and BN. I never even heard of that Operation Shooting Star, I was very disappointed once I looked into it...)

Our previous musician, SoulRed12 got his law career started. He was training to be a lawyer for quite a few years, hahaha. However, working in the law field isn't a simple 9-5 job. A typical work day may exceed even 12 hours, and that means he would have no time left over to work on the music for the game. As such, we decided  to search for a new composer (which resulted in the change of the music style too). While SoulRed12 still being part of the team, he is now in charge of  managing the project's website and participate in the team's meetings.

We could have, but we felt that it was overall better to have a single composer in this instance so that the music all felt similar. We were already re-working a majority of the soundtracks as it stood due to having a new sound front so getting a new musician kind of pushed us the rest of the way needed in order to decide to just redo it all, if that makes sense.

It wasn't a choice that we made lightly, but it was one we decided on due to how we were constantly having to change the music with each demo release due to it not "being battle network enough." This way everything was made with the new sound front and for the most part appears to be "Battle Network enough" for everyone.

I know the game is still a work in progress, but the second boss's puzzle before you get to him is extremely difficult for people who dont have a good memory, I suffer from brain damage and I couldnt do it, and my dad is healthy and he couldnt do it either. We had to record it and play it in slow motion and after about 5 of those I simply stopped wanting to play.

I have passed this along. We have already lowered the number of amps throughout the dungeon in the next demo, and we can look at slowing the pattern down a tad as well, but the overall consensus with the team is that we're happy with the puzzle concept as is.

Hopefully with the fewer amount of amps and a slowed down pattern it will be easier for everyone to complete.

Yes that will definitely help. The big deal wasnt that I had to record me playing, the big deal was that I had to do it over and over again.
