MLP: Pinkie Pie Plushie by MLPPlushies MLP: Pinkie Pie Plushie by MLPPlushies
Pinkie Pie has been sold!

More pictures can be found here: [link]

Finally got Pinkie finished! She took so long because I wanted to finish making my new pattern so that I could use it on her... She was kind of a make-it-up-as-I-went-along. And I think she turned out really well! I realize her head is a little bit large, haha, but that can be easily fixed for my next plushie!

As usual, the eyes and cutie marks are hand-embroidered. The detailing on her mane and tail is also hand-embroidered... I tried to sew it with a zigzag/satin stitch and I just couldn't get it to come out right. It's super hard to get those loops/circles on her hair to be perfect on a sewing machine. So, I just ended up doing it by hand, and I actually quite like the look of it!

Anyway, I hope you guys like her! And if anyone is interested in her, please check out the eBay link :)

Thanks so much for looking!

WARNING! Carry on reading! Or you will die, even if you only looked at the word warning!
Once there was a little girl called Clarissa, she was ten-years-old and she lived in a mental
hospital, because she killed her mom and her dad. She got so bad she went to kill all the
staff in the hospital so the More-government decided that best idea was to get rid of her so
they set up a special room to kill her, as humane as possible but it went wrong the
machine they were using went wrong. And she sat there in agony for hours until she died.
Now every week on the day of her death she returns to the person that reads this letter, on
a Monday night at 12:00 a.m. She creeps into your room and kills you slowly, by cutting you
and watching you bleed to death. Now send this to ten other pictures on this one site, and
she will haunt someone else who doesn't. This isn't fake. apparently, if you copy and paste
this to ten comments in the next ten minutes you will have the best day of your life tomorrow. You
will either get kissed or asked out, if you break this chain u will see a little dead girl in you

How long do the eyes take you?

:iconmlpplushies:

For hand embroidery, one eye usually took about 5 hours... But I use an embroidery machine now, so the eyes don't take nearly as long, thank goodness! :)

For hand embroidery, what size needle would you reccomend? I was thinking, maybe an eight?
Reply
:iconmlpplushies:
MLPPlushies Featured By Owner Apr 26, 2013  Hobbyist Artisan Crafter
Hmm... To be honest, I don't think that the size of the needle matters that much. My only rule was to choose a needle that wasn't too thick, but had an eye that was large enough for the embroidery thread to fit through. And of course, make sure it isn't a super short needle - longer needles are better because they're easier to hold on to.

So, any needles that are of a comfortable length, fairly thin (but not so thin that it bends super easily), and have an adequate eye, will work!

Hope I could be of some help! :)

How many threads would you suggest?

Well, the DMC embroidery floss that I used was made up of 6 strands, and I used all 6 of them. I know some people like to use just 3 stands, but I didn't have any problems with 6. :)

Well, I could make you one, but not until my commissions are open. :) I haven't decided on a price yet, so I'm not sure how much it would cost... However, I do know that the height would be around 12 - 13 inches, depending on hair style, unicorn horns, etc.

Thanks for your interest! I'll post a journal with more details about commissions and OCs soon.

How much did fluttershy/rarity sell for/how many bids did they get ?

Because if it doesn't go over $100 i'm defiantly buying it. that quality for such a low price actually surprises me that i might actually get to have it

Rarity sold for $79 with 5 bids and Fluttershy for $78 with... I don't know how many bids. Less than ten, for sure. :XD:

And thank you! I'm glad to hear you may be interested in her :)

I really hope you get a good price for that; the hand-embroidery is amazing! Any tips for doing that? What kind of threads do you use?

I'm using valleyviolet's pattern as well, and teaching myself to sew. Thanks for the Minky colour guide. :)
