RIP Eddie Van Halen

Today the music world lost one of it's best guitarists of all time, Eddie Van Halen, the co-founder of the rock band Van Halen. Famous for his sound and contribution to rock music, he had lost his battle with throat cancer on October 6, 2020 which also marked the 25th anniversary of the death of famous musician Selena. His son Wolfgang Van Halen had sent an emotional tweet ""He was the best father I could ever ask for, every moment I've shared with him on and off stage was a gift." My family have gone to his concert and I did listen to his music often when I was young even though I embrace more of 90's music than 80's music. The songs he that made him famous were "Jump", "Hot for Teacher", "Eruption", and "Panama" all came out in 1984. RIP Eddie.

😢 We will all miss him. But on the bright side, 4 more days until it’s 10th anniversary.

Yeah and I'm finishing off the Alien series tonight. And yes I will celebrate the 10 year anniversary of "Friendship is Magic" on Saturday.

Alright. I wonder which Franchise we’re visiting next. Terminator, Nightmare on Elm Street, The Shining

It's either going to be Predator or Ghostbusters. Both have a connection to the Alien franchise.

But that means when we get to Ghostbusters, we have to suffer through that garbage from 2016!

One of my regrets in life is not playing "Hot for Teacher" on my high school PA system.

RIP Eddie. You made the 80's a great period of rock and roll music. He also did the guitar music solo for Michael Jackson's "Beat It".
