I've neglected Spike in these comics. Given his loyalty to Twilight it's been hard to figure how he figures into Pinkie's world other than a victim of her hijinx.
Yet I've come to appreciate the little dragon more and more over recent seasons and so I do celebrate him.

Are we referring to the episode "Hard to Say Anything"? Released on the 28th? That had nothing to do with Spike!

That makes much more sense. It's about time Spike grew up! Although, if it is supposed to be dragon puberty, makes you wounder if Spike will get any taller. Or, it would, if we weren't in the final season. 😥
Oh, I’m sure he will one day tower high over Ponyville as a fully grown dragon, but until then, he’s our tiny Spikey Wikey.

Considering this is old news, you probably already know but... Spike's voice actress today, voiced Rarity back in the day in "Runaway Rainbow". The writers of "Friendship Is Magic" made Spike have a crush on Rarity as an Easter egg.
The fan-fictions and artwork will never end, but I can see Spike with Smolder a lot easier!
Also in the Cutie Pox episode, one thing stuck out to me. When that barrel ring spun up Twilight's hair to look like rarity's, and Spike "loved" it, I wondered, "Does Spike like Rarity, or just her hair?"

Just as a rule of thumb, wait a month or two after an episode airs to talk about monumental, spoiler-laden changes. Each country airs differently and each person who watches the series may not be able to see it as soon as it comes out.

Has it occurred to anyone else that Spike might just have (or some day have)the most political influence in the world. I mean he has a personal direct mail line to Celestia,whom trusts him. Giveing him power that nobles could only dream of, allways haveing her ear. He is at least on friendly terms with Luna. He is allways by Twilight's side. He is good friends with the rest of the mane 6 and Starlight (national heros/a powerful mage). Cadence Ember and Thorax pretty much owe their thrones to him. And the crystal empire basicaly worships him. Makes you think doesn't it?
