So I wanna talk to you guys about some blog posts I've seen around tumblr and the interwebs about popular oversensitive egos talking about how hard it is to have people discussing and criticizing your work. I guess I wanted to add my two cents because this is something I face almost daily since I go to an art school.
Keep in mind though that this is my personal view and it isn't word of law. This is just based on my observations and stuff I studied through art history and such in regard to criticism.
I want you all to picture this. I'm pretty sure all of you have attended an art show/gallery or art museum before. Maybe some of you have even experienced going to an art auction. Do you wonder why there are open spaces where people can wonder around from piece to piece? Because museums are meant to be places of discussion. There are no signs that say 'If you say anything bad about the art work, we'll kick you out!'. That's because art is about both positive
