My Bio
Random facts:

Foremost, I consider myself a wannabe writer and photographer.
I was born in 81, and lived for 10 years in the big frilly Soviet Union. I so wanted to become a pioneer, because they were cool, but damnit, we got our freedom first :p
I love Greek and Japanese food. I love ouzo and salmiakki.
I live in second biggest town of Estonia and I'm a patriot.
When I was a little kid I wanted to become a surgeon. As a teenager I trained to become a superhero like Batman. Now I've turned out as a jewellery designer or something of the sort and I'm studying national textile arts.
Several art classes proved that I cannot draw. Lately I've learned that just perhaps I can.
I desperately love to travel and 2 of my dream locations consist of Ireland and Egypt.
I am single. No kids.
I'm an obsessed LARP player and Game Master, but I do DnD, too. I'm also more and more into historical re-enactment.
My first love was Metallica. My latest love is Heather Dale.
I am frantic about good drummers.
I sleep naked.
I have a Russian Blue cat. Her name is Isadora (after Isadora Duncan).
I can ride, fence and do stage-fight.
I've been a producer to a private theatre and film group. I've been a playwright as well.
I'm poor.
I love to cook and snuggle up.
I love being bitten on the neck.
When I say I love you guys, I mean it.

Thank you. Your words and love mean much to me.
I'm sorry, but I've got to run now - I just came from 2 days of work and must start packing for the weekend and LARP in the prettiest castle in Estonia.
WIP Forgotten Dreams Revisited
I am already stunned by the update. Whoa! Yessss, methinks adding more upper space really helped bringing out the beauty here.

Now, if I may advise you a bit more (only to make it even prettier, although you've like rocked your old socks and everything) - perhaps, just perhaps the light is a little too heavily lined, if you know what I mean. And IF it be so, then the corner with crosses and the meadow around them needs to be much darker as well - look at the bushes above.

Also, the light currently seems to be bleaching colour out of the grass, turning it nearly white. That does not actually happen in nature. So what I suggest is that you google for "sunny field" or smth like that and look at references. (Because honestly, I don't know by heart either, just what happens to the colours).

Btw, you've done a great job with the grass and skirt. See me clapping -

PS. If you're wishing absolute reality, then the crosses ought to be a bit bigger, since the distance from the woman ain't that big and atm they're a little miniature.

All in all - Annette, my dear, you've taken a "small step", just like Neil Armstrong ;)

First of all, let me insure you that you have taken one big, giant leap. Then again, I've seen you develop, so no big surprise here. Just gladness.
Let me mention, though, that you started out better than many do. I suppose it's a natural talent.

One thing I'd like to add to the picture is more space to the upper area. Imho it would look better if the sky wasn't cropped so close to her head.
Secondly - try to decide where the light comes from and add highlights and shadows according to it.
The crosses and statue are a nice add-on, they add colour to the picture and make it more interesting without cluttering the scene. (Or perhaps try skipping the crosses and keeping just the statue in the distance - would also make for a good composition). The tombstone needs some shadows, but that topic I already touched. Light is hard, I used to mess with it a lot as well and hardly ever got it right.

Her skirt does look a bit foggy, so perhaps a little bit of overpainting with sharp brush would mend it?

And that's about it. Oh wow, I count 199 words <img src="…" width="15" height="15" alt=":p" title=":p (Lick)" />

For my dear ones I always try to find the time.
Dark things need to be written about. They remind us to fight for the good.
