Description
When I first read The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy Trilogy in 2000 I fell in love with the idea of an easily accessible singular repository for the sum of all knowledge. Then in 2001 a little website was launched called Wikipedia which would grow to contain over 16 million articles in over 240 languages. The parallels between the Guide and Wikipedia astounded me.
In October 2009 an offline mobile device called WikiReader debuted. It was like seeing a fictional device become real.
Here is my version of Wikipedia as the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.
