   Very easy going, this girl is a "been there done that" kind of attitude. Virtually nothing seems to phase her. Barking dogs, shooing guns - she might perk her ears and look around, but no spooking or reaction beyond that. She does have a bad habit of wind sucking and rocking if left in a stall for extended periods, so turnout with company is highly recommended to keep her from being bored. She's happiest with her people getting attention - especially grooming or a relaxing trail ride - or in the middle of her little herd.

   Silver was picked as a 6yr old rescue case from a kill auction. Caked in mud and terribly skinny, the docile mare manged to catch the eye of Heather's friend Janice who convinced the Sunrise Valley team to take her in. The mare soon was on a good recovery path who eventually wowed them all by going first in an international dressage competition.

   Silver left Sunrise Valley after Heather and Aimee felt they wanted to focus more on their Thoroughbreds and Warmbloods. Her sale was a decision they soon regretted. The mare was soon back to being bounced from place to place, with no one taking her serious enough to uncover her potential further. They lost track of the mare for a time, but she eventually resurfaced, much to their joy. She had ended up at a great stable, with a bright future. Unfortunately, "Lady Luck" has never seemed to be on the side of the little mare and a forced stock dispersal ended up with Silver back to looking for a home once again. Heather immediately reached out to buy the mare back, and soon, Silver was being shipped back - this time for good.

   To add to the excitement of the reunion, Aimee was sharing a picture of Silver on an online forum, and discovered the mare's breeder! Actually dual registered with the AQHR & APHA as "Sheza Bleu Mystique", the mare had been sold as a promising yearling to a Colorado stable. Exactly what had transpired to land a champion bloodline mare in a kill auction 5 yrs later was hazy (seems there was a messy divorce in the mix), but they were eventually able to track down the last owner of record, and officially get her registration papers updated and transferred to Aimee.
