Reality by misteriddles Reality by misteriddles
Brisbane 1992.

Best left to mystery. More surreal that way.

I just wanted to say that I ran this through the rasterbator. First I ran the bigger version you'd given me, but this brighter one worked better (the letters weren't readable in the dark version once rasterbated)
If my room in my parents summerhouse ever is finished, and I get to put this up in a 32 A4 replica, I'll try to remember to take a photo of the rasterbation and let you know ;)

Oh please do. That would be marvellous. I tried the rasterbator but I don't have a printer. I must not forget about it for when I do.

Simply an edit job -- I did a bit of dodging in Photoshop to bring the word 'Reality' out a bit more. :)

ah, but everything is an abstraction. Shooting in mono is an abstraction to begin with, then there's framing. It all dilutes reality!

well, that's true, but this was merely cheating *tease*

I must admit if I didn't do any dodging or burning I'd have a lot fewer deviations :)

My kind of picture! :D (Big Grin) This reminds me of a portrait circa the beat movement. Or of William Borroughs. I want there to be a pipe in his mouth, that's my only complaint. ;) (Wink)

The grain, the composition, the harsh side lighting, and the darkness of tha place make an incredible image.

Thumbs Up

very dark piece...
...love how the man's facial expression is so nearly lost except for his eyes
there is something in his pose, almost as if he is patiently waiting for something to either happen or come along...
...interesting shot

Yes with a dark mystery in there. It reminds me kafka characters, like mister K, whith a heavy unbelievable feeling of guilt without knowing the crime from were it might come .....)
