...can be found on my tumblr:…
I'm gonna make an attempt at being more active here on dA, starting with uploading a couple years' worth of art over the next few days/weeks/months/whatever. I'll try to do one a day and not dump it all at once. I'll also bring some older art out of storage.

Tumblr is still going to be my main place but I've gotten unsatisfied with how it works for displaying art. TBH I kinda left dA because I was feeling lousy as an artist after graduating uni and other stuff but I've been feeling better about it lately. Quitting my deli job after almost 8 years and going back to Hal-Con as a vendor helped a lot. Sooo maybe being able to see everything in a gallery will help too.

Crowbar's MOVIN' OUT!

Fri Jul 20, 2012, 10:04 AM
so yeah, my cousin and I have been planning to move out together sometime this summer/fall, and I found a listing on kijiji that didn't really have much on it but was in a super ideal location. less than a week later and it's OURS! ... to rent but w/e. The place is seriously way awesomer than anything else my cousin and I would likely be able to get.

• The owner is super nice and I have a feeling her family would get along well with ours if they ever met.
• The house is literally right behind our workplace, so we don't need to worry about transportation or awkward bus schedules. There's also a medical clinic, dollar store, bank, and bus routes nearby.
• It's a 3-bedroom duplex. My cousin, and her boyfriend once he moves in, get the master bedroom and I get the two smaller ones. One of mine will be a studio!
• The living room is spacious and there's a good sized kitchen with fridge, stove, and DISHWASHER! Also a really huge washer and dryer.
• The owner is totally cool if we want to paint the whole place, which is what I want most because I LOVE bright colours. Every other rental is all white and… ugh I don't want to live in a white place.
• Aside from appliances, no furniture is included, but that's not so bad 'cause our parents are giving us couches and dining room stuff, haha.
• Previous tenant happens to be a coworker, haha. They leave mid August but we're not yet sure if we can move in then or September. At least, the owner will be cleaning up the place since the last tenants were smokers, and doing other little repairs.

And this is all like… I think I found the listing for this place on the weekend, wow. THIS IS MY FIRST TIME MOVING OUT it's all really fast. But this is definitely a place I can see myself living in for a long while. Guess now I need to make a list of things I need for the new place! Definitely a large desk and a new bed. And also… getting rid of some of my current stuff. 8c I may end up posting some sales stuff but most likely donating to the kids next door or charity or something.

11.  Are we cool yet?

In other things, yeah, I'm graduating university... feels weird that I won't be a student anymore. Also Countess-Studios visited last week, and MW round 2 is coming along. I'm hoping to get at least 2 of the 3 remaining parts posted before the week's out.

Anyone use fountain pens?

Journal Entry: Wed Mar 14, 2012, 10:06 PM
I'm trying to get used to using them and may start inking MW round with them instead of microns, but I just at least one giant gob of ink on every single drawing I've done before. Well, except one, but then I accidentally spilled a drop on it anywho. BUT YEAH does anyone have any advice for reducing ink blobs? Or any other advice with using them, really.

MW and possible internetslessness

Less than two days left to apply to ManyWorldsOCT! The deadline of which is poorly timed with my house switching ISPs, whups. I should be around by the even of tomorrow, but there's always the chance something will get fucked up and I won't be around until wednesday or thursday or something. TheEitan will take care of things if that happens, but if anyone has questions about MW, better ask me today than tomorrow.

and I will prolly announce this to the MW blog tonight... yup.

Many Worlds OCT Officially open + internet trouble

Journal Entry: Tue Dec 27, 2011, 1:40 PM

also my ISP is a douche and hasn't realised a whole neighbourhood's been fucked up for three days and I dunno how much longer it's gonna go on for but being sick and internetless SUCKS.

Collaborative Commissions with Anneem!

Journal Entry: Wed Dec 14, 2011, 7:25 PM
Edit: Hey, its getting close to when Ann's gonna visit, and with the MW break it's prime time to commission us!

I've invited Countess-Studios to visit me here in the quaint fishing villages of Nova Scotia, to live amongst the rocks and trees and water for a week. But for Anneem to escape the bustling cities of Ontario, we require an item called cash. So we're offering collaborative commissions like these:

Countess-Studios will do the lineart, and I will do colours. They're $40 for one character and $25 for each additional character. You can contact either of us via note to start a commission.

We're also both open for individual commissions; my info is in the side block to the right and Countess-Studios's is here. I'm also still doing sketch commissions until the end of this week!

All in all we need to raise $500 by April, so if you can't commission either of us, spreading the word would be a great help!

Sketch Commissions! CLOSED

Journal Entry: Mon Dec 12, 2011, 7:16 PM
This offer is currently closed, but may reopen around the 20th.

$10 for a sketch
$20 for a coloured sketch

prices are per character, and payment is to be made through paypal. Please send me a note if you're interested!

So yeah, I have three days off this week and would like to cram in some of these to raise funds for:
• New pair of shoes for work
• Get ManyWorldsOCT upgraded to a Super Group
• Gettin' Countess-Studios a ticket here
I'll probably close these commissions in a week, so if you want one, the sooner the better!

Many Worlds has plot stuffs

Journal Entry: Fri Dec 9, 2011, 5:03 PM
So now there's like an official description of what it's all about up now. And the reference for the Weavers has been finished. The remaining reference, for the Hub, should be done in a week or so.

also the new icon bobs now if you hadn't noticed already. Mucho thanks to Countess-Studios for that.

and we still need one more judge!

Lookin' for a couple OCT judges

Journal Entry: Thu Nov 24, 2011, 4:41 PM
For :iconmanyworldsoct:. You'll just be needed to judge, and possibly post matchups and results, but all the tournament set up and ref will be taken care of by myself. If you're game for it, please send me a note with a brief resume and maybe sample of critique you've done before.

the tournament will be open by the end of the year, with references coming in mid december.

srsly. >8I AUGH.

EDIT - I suppose I should add to the story of the debacle that is the set up for the group show.

We got the space and knew dates for the show way back in mid october, but times for set up weren't decided until last week, despite that I asked for them every time we met and e-mails went unresponded. 'Cause people have lives and work, and needed notice to plan around stuff. So of course he plans for a time half the people can't show up, and when we FINALLY settle on a good time - he sends an e-mail around the day before specifying a different time that had already been shot down by the group. Everything's also been really unorganised, and whenever someone has a suggestion to get things running smoother, he keeps going on the track he set. And other things like the size of the gallery was grossly exaggerated (leading to spacing issues) and he kinda just keeps going to different advertising things without talking to everyone and then expecting everyone to pay. It's been REALLY frustrating for me.

not to mention that I've had so muhc on the go this month and the show's getting in the way Dx [/edit]

The painting - The Ice Mines - got a space in the show in the end, but FUCK I was ready to cry and punch someone out when my advisor said I'd have to take it out. I'm so behind on everything else because I busted my ass finishing that painting.

but yeah. The group show is set up and looks pretty good. horray!

I should probably pimp this

Journal Entry: Fri Nov 18, 2011, 5:36 PM
I'm gonna be in a group show next week! :B

My studio group is putting it together and I'll be having three of my paintings in it (if all goes well). It's open 12-5 every day after the reception, so if you're in the Halifax downtown area, you should check it out!

The painting's I'll be showing are:

Hopefully I'll get some pics of the event but I don't plan on staying at the reception long because it's going to be a friggin' party. >_> It'll keep going until the booze runs out. Also there will be cookies.

whelp, con's over

Journal Entry: Sun Nov 13, 2011, 4:56 PM
I made enough to cover costs but not enough for it to have been worthwhile. LE SIGH. I think I'm at a disadvantage for not liking Doctor Who. It's INSANELY popular at this con, but I'm just not into it. There were many, many more Doctors, Daleks, and TARDISes than trolls, kids, and felt.

Prints didn't really sell and most of the money I made came from on-the-spot commissions. They're on tumblr now, orrr you can wait to see them in the next tumblrdump. If anyone wants prints, you can make an offer via note and we'll work something out.

I also have this left if anyone wants to make an offer:

also also met a lot of folks and saw a bunch of familiar faces ranging from high school math teachers to customers from work, haha. It's kinda cool meeting people like that in this context, it's like a different layer of the onion kinda thing. Like would those customers have ever guessed that the gal that cooks the chickens makes great big sci-fi paintings? Likewise I don't think I would'a guessed that those guys have a really strong D&D group that meets multiple times a week. One of them bought an Armaan print - I think he's going to use him as inspiration for a villain in his campaign.

also also also I really liked getting superhero commissions. muscle, yessssss

Gonna be at Hal-con this weekend

Journal Entry: Tue Nov 8, 2011, 2:31 PM
sellin' all my wonderful prints~

hopefully. 8I

Blurry picture but ya'll know what they look like. I'll be at the con with CantoChi, Buuya, and mementomoryo, so even if you don't like my stuff there's plenty other varied styles to choose from. :B

I'll also be doing sketch commissions there because it seems to be a thing.

BUT YEAH if you're in the HRM this weekend, you definitely gotta get downtown and visit the con. :D
