Hello!I'm Chara J, but I have also been called M.M.
I am a Comic Book Ink artist.
It's been my dream since I was twelve to draw comics. At the time, I wanted to do everything. I practiced my pencils, avoided the inks, jumped to the colors... but I realized that when I skipped the inks, I was missing a HUGE step. And that's why I am focusing on inks. Because shadows and highlights can either make or break a picture, and that's exactly all that inking is.
I am a self taught artist, outside of taking some art classes in highschool. I gain knowledge from critiques and books. Lots and lots of books. You will notice at the end of my Description, that all critiques are welcome. Only way to get better, right?
Right now, I just have my facebook page up. All photos posted there are watermarked, at 72 dpi and 8x10 or smaller. Credit is always given no matter where it's posted. When it's posted here on dA, they are at 150 dpi and 8x10. So if you would like to color something just for fun, let me know and I can send you a high res. Just remember to give credit where credit is due.
Well, if you have any questions, feel free to send me a note
Chara J. (aka M.M.) signing off!
ABOUT HIRING ME:
Send me a note if you're interested in hiring me for ink commissions. I can't work for free, or exposure because my electric company keeps telling me that using them for exposure won't work.

Hey guys, Sorry for the elongated time away. A few things came up, but I am happy to announce that I am now dabbling in the Digital inks! It's quite interesting, and I am enjoying it. Does anyone know what kind of digital tablet would be good for inking? The one I was suggested is: www.amazon.com/dp/B0777M9DVL/?… but it has to be connected to the computer to work. I would really like one that's like a tablet, where I can just download the software, then draw on it like a art pad. Or maybe I should just have my art pad with me at all times. That would probably be easiest, but it would be nice to take my work with me if I had to go somewhere instead of losing time on my art.
Well, I should be back with more inks soon!
