Description
While I don't love Mary Sues any more than the next person, there's another thing I certainly don't love...
bullying writers who create Mary Sues.
I don't care if you have a Mary Sue or not. I'm going to treat you with respect, because I believe every human being deserves that, regardless of writing ability or experience. So don't be afraid to be yourself around me. I won't think less of you if you aren't perfect!
Comic on Anti-Sue cyberbullying (which led me to create this stamp)
Please note that this stamp is about being respectful to everyone, not about praising every character to the heavens, because that's not a constructive way to react to Mary Sues either.

Clarification: Some people have been confused about the meaning of this stamp, and that's okay. This stamp refers to my attitude that people deserve basic respect, constructive criticism or none at all, and a right to have their boundaries respected. Offering welcome, constructive criticism is of course okay. Helping a willing writer to grow is wonderful. Being rude or cruel, or ignoring boundaries (e.g. "No critique please"), is a breach of good manners. Please note that I created this before "safe space" became a politicized and often derisive term.
Update: I'm disabling comments because, despite the many nice and lovely comments I've received, there has been enough rudeness that I no longer wish to put up with it. If you want to be mean to people, or type out a defense of how you think it's okay to bully beginning writers, you are welcome to go somewhere else.
