With the resolve of sand
Don't kiss my soul with your pity
It is unwanted
Uncalled for
Stop me from screaming your name
I am not your fool
I will live.
Alone and without endurance
Alone, my fingers in the sand
Making a castle for us.

The Greatest Smidgeon
My great-grandfather used to tell me, "Don't chase after sheep because you'll only end up with a piano in your ear." I never quite understood his advice until one Christmas, I was gardening with my best friend Lily. All of a sudden, we found an underground tunnel! It was great and spooky sounds came from deep within. Lily saw something interesting inside, jumped in, and I never saw her again. Great-granddaddy was right!

Gated Doors
In front of walls
four gated doors
and push and push and push
on open windows
too high to climb.
Clawing in fingernails
to the cracks between the bricks
and push and pull and push
and break the nails
weapons and lost.
The dress which falls too low
straps tied in knots
and pull and pull and pull
on hair tied up
curled on the floor.
Dreams are lost for
what they said became
all wrong all wrong all wrong
as life is hard
and prison yawns.

Disillusioned Trees
Where the cherry trees cannot blossom
Because the river runs thick with blood
Of children swimming of shooting.
We're all children here
A cherry tree never blossoms
Cannot blossom as all our rivers run thick
With the blood which we pour in it.
There's no water left
There's no life left, but for the innate
Bucket of cruelty which pours the blood in
Even though the river is crimson
To the core and clotting
But for the cherry blossom petal
Drifting in the bloody current
Half in, half out but,
Defying all knowledge, there.

I tell you once,
I'll tell you twice,
There is no such thing
as white.
Angel's white
tarnished by rain.
The clouds themselves,
nothing is as deep
Bellies of purple, umber
mingled with rose,
Capped and topped
with pale marigold.
Ivory has deep
corners of earth,
perhaps blood
on one curved swoop - scimitar.
Snow slips
into mud.
Light should be warm
not white.
For white is empty,
white is cold.
Love is lost
on nothingness.
so you tell me once,
you'll tell me twice,
that you are as pure
as white.
I see the truth
within your eyes.
You are not pure.
You tell me lies.

A Promise
I opened my heart
You promised never to tell
I didn't trust that
You needed my hand
I promised not to hurt you
You shouldn't trust that
A promise means
nothing to me.
We make
and then leave our creations
shattered when we change.
I promised to love you
I promised to care
I promised not to hurt you
I lied.
You kept your promise
You now can never tell
my heart.

Aw thank you honey! I did indeed. It was so nice to spend a day out with my mother and sister and plan for going to uni in 2 weeks.
How's everything going with you?
DulcetFancy Featured By Owner Sep 20, 2012
You're welcome! I'm so glad your day went well! There's nothing better than having a good birthday. :meow:

Aww, I'm okay, kinda sorta. I had a nice break from the pain, and now the rain and cold weather is back, and I'm back to feeling sick again. Whee! :unimpressed: I'm working on some portrait requests, but other than that I'm good. :)

Yeah cold weather can be a right pain. I find the relaxation of summer is always useful for making me feel up to healtha nd then the stress of autumn... not so good. Enjoy the last day of summer!
