Beauty often seduces us on the road to Truth...

I was born Jennifer D’Andrea in Worcester, Ma., and have been living in Massachussetts my whole life so far. I’ve been painting since I was 18 but really got serious about my art when I was 22 and began exhibiting my artwork at local coffee shops and venues. I was 25 when a good friend of mine who liked my artistic spirit and determined energy dubbed me “Jennifire”. I have no formal art school training; I’m self-taught and self-representing.

An eclectically frantic freelance artist is the best way to describe me. my favorite medium is acrylic paint but i also love inkpens, watercolours, rusted metal, fabric and whatever else that reveals itself to me as an instrument of manipulation. i specialize in the abstract but also express a wide scope of various styles. as far as my artistic education goes, it was only during high school; i'm self-taught and never stop learning.

With all of my artwork, because it is abstract, I want the viewer to feel rather than think about what they are seeing before the mind can try to make logical sense of it. Most of my images are channeled, unplanned and are made to make impressions that stay with the viewer like a dream, to be felt in the depths at the subconscious level.
I want you to dream with me.

I achieve this effect with layers of vibrant acrylic paint, textured and manipulated by various tools and objects to create paintings which enchant and involve the viewer. My art is appreciated in close detail where rich textures and colors entice. I have strong mystical and emotional meanings for my work and can’t describe it in words except to say that other people have experienced strong emotional connections similarly.

When I paint, most pieces are created spontaneously and finished in one session. I believe time stands still when I create and that time stands still when a person gets lost in a painting. So I am capturing moments in time when I create as I was literally caught in the moment, channeling pure energy. The magic is in transmitting the impression of that moment to the viewer as they also have their own experience.
