Wa Lolita Outfit Commission by MissChubi Wa Lolita Outfit Commission by MissChubi
I finished this epic commission about a week ago, but I've been so mega busy I haven't been able to add it until now.
This commission is made for a friend/big supporter of my work for a convention. She chose the fabrics/colors - I just sketched it and worked my magic to have it come to life!
I made it in five parts: the kimono top, underskirt, overskirt, faux obi, and super giant removable bow. Ooh, and headband! :p It's made out of a lovely brocade fabric, and every bit of it is fully lined - except for the underskirt, which is made out of a really lovely cotton. I've got lots of progress pics, and some detailed pics of each of the separate pieces here: [link]
If you like what you see, I'm always open to commissions! :D Just comment/message me :3

>O< *speechless* This is the most beautiful wa loli I have seen so far! The colors and pattern really mix well. I've been searching for wa loli or at least lolita tutorials but I could never find one. After looking up lolita fashion, I fell in love and had the strongest desire to create my own clothing. Even though I'm only 13 (as of now), I was wondering if it's hard to create a wa loli? I was about to sign up for sewing classes to help my sewing skills with a machine and different techniques, but what really confuses me is putting all the separate pieces together. (Like the top+Petticoat+sleeves etc.) Other seamstresses I've talked to say it isn't that hard, but to me, it looks really confusing. There are some worded tutorials out there, but I'm a visual learner. If you could give me some tips and advice, I would be very thankful. Thank you for now :3

Oh, thank you muchly! ♥
Haha, yea it can be overwhelming at first - but once you begin sewing and learning how a garment is put together, everything really starts to make sense. Wa Lolita isn't really any harder than creating any other type of Lolita garment - it just takes a lot more fabric :P
I think you should definitely sign up for that class! You've got to start somewhere, after all ^_^

Haha, yeah it would be :3 Quadruple-ruffle dress! ♡ Ahh I can already see it in my head: it'd be super delicious looking - like a layer cake!
(btw, I'm totally not in school, so I could do it for an anti school project :p)

This is basically just wa lolita I don't see much qi in it unless I'm counting the brocade (which I agree with the person above me is really blinding) lol
Good on ya making this whole thing by yourself, hope your customer was satisfied!

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too since it's a brocade fabric.
Thanks! Yeah, she loved it ♡

oh my god that really blinds your eyes :D Not to my personal taste, but I can see the craftmanship in it and it looks wonderfully made, must have been a lot of work. Really cool you can make something like this entirely yourself from scratch :D
Hope she can take pictures soon when she's wearing it, curious to see how it looks when somebody's actually wearing it ^^

Lolll :p
Thank you! It's actually not as difficult as it looks - it can be a little overwhelming though. But since all the pieces were made separately, it's really not all that bad ^_^
Yeah, I'm hoping to get pics of her in it when we go to the convention in January ^_^ She's a friend of mine, so I'll wrangle her into getting some pics! lol

haha yeah, you do that B-) Is the weather a bit nice around that time of the year where you live? :o Here it's already winter by January so something like that would be freeeezing cold (or is it indoors?)
Anyway, I checked your website and it really seems like a lot of work, wouldn't know where to start myself. Especially the part where I decide how many colours I'm gonna use and which one goes where so they all match nicely :o

Oh yea, the con is inside! :3 But since the whole top is lined, it's actually pretty warm! At least, that's what my friend said ^_^ And with both the skirts, a petticoat, bloomers, and highs socks, temperature is no longer an issue :p
As for all the colors.. hahaha. I did a bunch of different sketches first and had a lot of different fabrics to choose from and she let me know what she liked, etc.

Ooh, I sure will! :D Probably at least two new outfits - there's going to be a formal ball, so I've got to come up with something super lovely for that! ♡

ooh yeah, that's the perfect excuse to go wild, already curious what you're going to come up with ^^ Something with lots of lace and frills would be cool for a ball. So it's a convention with a formall ball? Even if I got that wrong and it hasn't, that's a super idea anyway :D A fair-ish convention with a formal ball, awesome combination.
Then some more high tea and/or a picknick (in good weather xD) and it woud be absolutely perfect for elegantly showing off your pretty new clothes :D
anyway, I'll stop spamming your page now ^^ Good luck with the new outfits :)

Lol, please don't stop the spam! You're awesome to talk to ^____^ hehe.
Yea, it's an anime convention, a friday-sunday weekend. I guess this year there's going to be a formal ball on one of the nights, and a lolita tea-party on one of the mornings! :D I'm so excited to get all dressed up for these events XD I'm also going to be making my boyfriend's outfits, so I'm excited to do that as well! Haha, thanks for the luck - I'll be needing it with all these ambitions I'm taking on n__n;
