Applying for jobs in Los Angeles? Jesus Christ, wish me luck.
Real TalkI wanted to separate this from my short little update.
I haven't been active on DA for a variety of reasons. After moving back to Texas for a job, I became incredibly busy while working at a 24/7 pharmacy. I moved out there alone and back in with my parents. The plan was that my fiance Josh would follow shortly after, but it never happened. We couldn't qualify to rent a home, or even an apartment. Lack of credit will do that to you-- not even bad credit, just lack of. It's so stupid.
And then not to mention my car finally hitting the bucket. I loved my Buick named Frank, and he had been in the family for 22 years (and little mileage, considering), but his engine fell out and it was to pricey a repair. I had to beg my Dad to cosign on a car for me (because I'm cosigned on our Honda as well, and they don't like you cosigned on two apparently? Even if you're already 3/4 paid off on the other? What?), which meant they couldn't cosign on a place to live. Tough choice, but not as
Long Overdue UpdateWow, I really neglect DA, don't I? To be fair though, I haven't worked on a lot of cosplay as of yet, due to me being so busy with work.
We were never able to get my fiance moved out to Texas, because he acquired some work right after I left (every damn time, I swear). He eventually offered my a position to intern on the game he is making, so after being in Texas for almost half a year.... I just moved back to Louisiana. Now, we're hoping that this isn't permanent, and that within the next year or so, we'll be back in Texas! :3
In the meantime, I'm learning how to code and I will be working on his game Nefarious. How exciting!
I AM working on some cosplay, and I will be at Classic Game Fest in Austin, in a few weeks. I'm helping my sister run her table. :3
Print Shop now Open!Hey guys! It's been a while since I've uploaded anything here, but never fear--- I've been working on new things.
In the meantime, I've opened up a print store! There are a few awesome pictures-- all high-quality 8 x 10, photo quality-prints! Be sure to take a look and share around.
Thanks for everyone's support!

Been Awhile... AgainI'm terrible at updating things, Ahhh.
I'm still in a bit of a hiatus, but I'll be back at Mechacon with full force! Working on finishing up Sesshoumaru for the contest and then a secret cosplay for a secret reason.
In other news, I'm now writing with Lifted Geek! It's an awesome website, so be sure to check them out, ahhhhh~
Ima try to update date this more and more, but as always, I don't post what I'm working on here anymore. For more frequent updates, be sure to follow my facebook page here:
And I'm Back, From Outer Space... Not ReallyI've been super slacking on my page here, but super active on my facebook page! I post most of my stuff over there now, aside from a few hi-def pictures over here, so if you want to see progress and my current going-ons, be sure to head over to my page and give it a like!
It's been a hard end of a year and beginning.
On the upside, I started repping geeklurv.com, which is an awesome dating site for people of the geeky orient. There are a free subscriptions as well as paid (AND AFFORDABLE!)-- be sure to check 'em out!
Aside from that, I actually decided to take a break from Cosplaying-- or at least making cosplay. I really need to get a better job and save up money for just a little while. This means that I WILL NOT be attending A-kon and Most likely not, San Japan. I'm sad about this, but bills are priority man, and even though I am pretty thrifty as far as Cospaly goes, I've been having some rough times lately. x_x
I'm not gone forever though!
Wow, It's Been a Long TimeLiterally forever. Sometimes life gets in the way and lately I've been stressed up to my eyeballs.
Remember that last update saying we were officially moving to San Antonio? Yea, that didn't happen. The week of the move, Josh was offered a job at Pixel Dash studios which he INSTANTLY took. So, we're still in the Baton Rouge area for the time being. I was lucky to have a boss that liked me, so she instantly offered me my job back. It's nice to be loved. ;_;
Cosplay was put on a tad bit of a hold, but now I'm back into full swing! We recently pulled out Jak and Daxter for Oni-con, and a surprise T-Elos Swimsuit cosplay for a beach shoot, just for :iconWhiteLilyphotos:. Sesshoumaru is next up on the list for Ikkicon.
We're stressed and busy, but we're okay! Sorry for the silence. xO
News and Storenvy! It's official, we ARE moving to SA, and at the end of the month! We're excited but also super nervous at the same time! We've been thinking about moving back to Texas for awhile, but not under the circumstances that have come about, and not so suddenly. Alas, life happens. We're super nervous because we aren't really prepared for such a sudden change and so soon.
Because of this, I still have some cosplays up for sale, which can be seen on my Facebook page. This includes my beloved Seong Mina cosplay! I am also taking comissions for Cammy gloves.
I will be selling hats and a few knickknacks at my family's table at San Japan! If you see the table with the MOUNDS and MOUNDS of fleece pillows, that's us!
I have also decided to open a store envy! I'm not expecting to sell a lot of prints or anything, but I thought, hey might as well try you know! Everything has been listed under the pre-order tab, since I'll have to print these as (if) orders come in!
Please take a
General Update! It's been awhile since I've updaated, aside from telling everyone that I had some cosplays up for sale.
I WILL be attending both San Japan and Mechacon, and I am a Cosplay guest at the latter. The only new cosplay I will be debuting is my Cruella DeVil cosplay. We've decided to put Jak and Daxter on hold until we figure out our personal issues.
On that note, I'm not going to say much, but I will say this: We might very well be moving to Texas soon. It's a very sudden decision we've had to make, but there will be more details later on when we actually know what's going on.
Another note: I will no longer be posting cosplay PROGRESS here, only final shots of my cosplay. It's easier to post that stuff to facebook, as I update my page there more often than I do here.
So, you want to see the progress and hear general updates, please follow my cosplay page!

old journal entry from winter:
uaggh! I don't even know how to write journals anymore D: I hope everyone is
about deviantart eclipse.(added stuff)personally, i don't like the new layout-at all. i just needed to get this off my chest.
deviantart is the last website that's good for art, the whole reason why i buy core and remain active here is because i can fully express myself with custom boxes and stuff. profile customization is one of the best things about it, now it's gonna be "sleek" and "modern" like every other website-
although i do see a lot of people who are pleased with the layout, which makes me hope that they'll at least make the old version available for those who prefer it.
if you're like me and you're extremely upset about this change, the best way to reach the staff is through this survey:
it seems like almost everybody commenting on the beta test journal has got the same idea that i do- but unfortunately i dont know if the staff is going to pay attention to the comments on here so i urge you to please consider fill

Commissions/trades!Hey guys, I just wanted to update that I am working on official prices for my commissions and such cuz I get a lot of notes about it, and i've been meaning to make a price sheet for ages now!? So know that, that is coming soon.
I always want to say that my commissions are currently closed, but will be opened again so don't worry about that!
As for trades I get a lot of people asking about trades/commissions, and all I can say about that is-- I've got a lot on my plate and after the commissions/trades I currently have my main priority needs to be my show. and I wanna work on my show, but I also sometimes have a hard time saying no to people cuz I don't want to upset anyone. But at the same time I'm learning it's healthy to say no. SOoooo, no they aren't open right now. Unless I open small batches if an emergency happened or something, but for right now it's all closed for a bit. But I will finish stuff I owe now.
Anyway, i'm just so honored by all the kind words and seeing how car
Art Review 7Well the fortnite art journal was a bust so I'm just going to do a more general browsing deviantart instead.
I would like yall to send me art from your own galleries.
If you want me and/or others to (harshly) review, critique, poke fun at or show your art on a video/livestream you can put your old or recent art below. Keep in mind not everyone will be featured. Username will likely be shown for credit. Thank.
(If you wanna repost art that you posted on past journals you can also do that)
F.A.Q. TIME!!I get quite a few messages here on DA with various questions and requests. I don't have time due to work and family to answer all of them individually like I would like so I think a handy-dandy FAQ is in order. This way maybe I can answer a question before it's even asked and/or have a journal I can easily direct people to. So here we go!
Q: Can you give me any tips on how to draw/color,paint/whatever better?
A: The quick and easy answer is that there aren't any secrets to being able to draw well. I know it's not what people want to hear and everyone is looking for a magic trick that will instantly make them a better artist. The truth is that I have dedicated 1000s of hours to art in an effort to get better. I attended figure drawing classes, went to conventions and spent hours talking to other artists, and spent nearly every dime I had on books and art supplies. I lived it and breathed it. When you were out on a date or playing video games or seeing movies I was probably home d
Do you know what fires your imaginationEverybody has an imagination. Some of us have learned to use ours better than others. People say they aren't creative, but everybody is creative, because everybody has an imagination.
Imagination needs to be fed, but not necessarily in the form your medium. Because that is akin to cannibalism to me.
Do you know what fires your imagination?
-- Justin Maller ekud
spyed: Why do creative people need a community?
ekud: Everybody needs a community, it's a deviation from the norm to have creativity be a defining characteristic of your person. A central tenant of your life. However you want to say it. So to find a group of people that share that, and have that affinity, is a basic human need. To have affinity with others.
spyed: Does having access to a community of like-minded people help the creative process in your view?
ekud: Sharing your affinity with others is what's going to feed that basic need that you're not necessarily going to be able to find within arms
