Deus Ex Machina by misfitmalice Deus Ex Machina by misfitmalice
The Machine God ( from the latin ''Deus Ex Machina'' )

In North America, religion is decreasing, which is a good thing, but television is increasing, which is maybe worst...

So common! Drop your TV! Public television doesn't care about presenting intelligent contents. They just want you to stay sited between to stupid publicities. GET A LIFE!

I did that one after reading that the Canadian association who apply the rules in broadcasting has agree to raise the length of publicities by 2 minutes next fall and one more minute the next year. So we'll have 15 minutes an hour of publicities in 2008 and in 2009 they want to let it to the discretion of the broadcasters will!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Assholes!

GET A LIFE!

the most wonderful conceptual work ive ever seen in my history on deviantart (digital). The image is shoking, and id love to have a work like this on the biggest wall on my house. Ive moved with my boyfriend 2 months ago, we refuse to have a tv and i can really say that my life has changed since then, my mind is in peace, and i occupy the 100% of my time on art and love, which is how it should be, im free of those stupid images and my mind is running healthier... Please people, GIVE UP ON TV ONCE AND FOR ALL!!

The most kind comment I've ever had! Glad to see that I'm not alone whom hates TV! Not the TV, but the stupidity that they show to us. I like documentaries, history and some times, cartoon. The thing that upset me the most is that the broadcasters thinks that we're all stupid or easy mind. Or they just give the people what they want... Bread and games, once said Caesar! (free translation). And I think that people should not ban the TV but just watch it a lot lesser. That would give them the opportunity to communicate...

sure, when i had tv i only watched the same as you, i hatted to come home and see my mom watching amazed all tv shows full of crap and sensationalism, so perfect thing would be to encourage people to choose in an inteligent way what they watch, and think about what they choose... people use to ask me what to i do whithout tv!!?? and i just answer that i live without stupid worries...

Don't know about that. What I know, is that a french king, Louis something, was named like that. In fact, It think it's coming from him, at first...

noooo, it was used way before that, we studied it in poetry when we were learning the origins of poetry, though a french king using the name would not surprise me, specially if he has a big ego ^^

Actually I found this piece on another deviant's fav section. I don't know why I never saw it before. But I love the whole concept, and even think it's a bit humorous the way the people are throwing themselves at the television. But it's true indeed that we're increasingly becoming slaves of TV, especially with all those sick reality shows. :|

Hell, I thought you were on my Watchlist, I've noticed you on DAA. So now I'll be sure to click the Watch button. :D

Thanks. I just send did it and send it yesterday in my DAA submission... I think that a lot of couple would have lesser trouble if they can cut 2 hours of TV a day. It breaks the communication, zombify its audience and suck the cells out of our brain!

I did that one after reading that the Canadian association who apply the rules in broadcasting has agree to raise the length of publicities by 2 minutes next fall and one more minute the next year. So we'll have 15 minutes an hour of publicities in 2008 and in 2009 they want to let it to the discretion of channel's will!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(I'll write that under my submission)

That's a shame. An enormous shame. I just can't believe that I'm a graphic designer and that I will contribute to that crap... But I don't sell any illustrations, so, in the wait, I have no choice...

I don't know about your country, but here, we are invaded by publicities. They are everywhere, it's like a bad science-fiction movie!

By publicities, do you mean commercials? If so, absolutely. But everything is mostly from the US.. I always turn the sound off when they run, cause I can't bloody take it.

Yeah, I meant commercials. But as I write, a lot of things are coming to my mind. The dryers in men's bathroom are covered with it, the doors of personal bathroom, the ice in hockey stadium, the buses, the waiting place for the buses, on the cell phones, my goddamn home page for the news on the net, half of the content of the magazines, and I can write like that for hours. Ah, if the Talibans could be commercials terrorists instead, the world would be better... Everybody seems to want to sell their craps, but nobody want to buy mine... But wait, if you call now, we will make a payment for you!!!

OK, that's it for today. I'm just waking up, and if I think about that one more minute, it will ruin my day! See You. And have a nice day.

Absolutely. We are bombarded with commercials around us the minute we step out of the door. Fortunately it is still not as overwhelming in the city I live compared to the bigger cities. Especially in China and Japan they tend to go crazy with blasting people with blasting, blinking signs and boards. :o

When Jesus went to the temple and saw all those merchants. He was so angry that they were selling all those things in the temple that he broke everything. He was the first known ''historic'' personage to spit on the ''capitalist'' thing!
