The image of effortless superiority was the face he prefered to show the public, as he emblazoned the front pages of the periodicals. Known for his sharp tongue as much as his swift sword arm, Jacques was the beau ideal of the dueling gentleman, a Champion of the Empire, a Peer of the Realm, a scoundrel and a rogue, the latter being a true title of merit in his opinion.
