Second picture from the Verona series with dear Mike. :) This time a more "classic" portrait, showing the jewelry and embroidery quite well. :)

By the way, a little heads up to the behind the scenes for fellow cosplayers: On this series, I added a few cheap hair extentions to achive Verona's signature look of very long but very straight dark hair.
Synthethic hair extentions with clips or very small elastic bands are very affordable and at this point available in such a lot of shades you might actually find some that work with your natural colour, at least on photos. Since I prefer to go with my natural hair and avoid wigs, if it is possible colourwise, this little trick helped me a lot. As you might know, I actually got very long hair, but for Verona I just wanted it to sport a few extra centimeters... xD
I think, if I wouldn't note it, nobody would realize this little addition. That's why I stress it here. :D

Oh and - did I already mentione how much I love that backdrop?! :D

And... for the Vampire the Masquerade fans around: Is it just me or would a dress like that just be incredible for a Helena of Troy foto series? If you think so, let your local White Wolf employees know! xDDDDDD
(6 years ago I almost became an official VtM model for the By Night Studios books - but being a studend I just was too broke to travell to the US for that deal... ^^ alas, time flies. ^^)

Thank you so very much! :heart:

Danke für die lieben Worte, und nein, böse bin ich dir nicht. Ich bin... sagen wir "beiläufige Bezugnahme auf meine Oberweite" im alltäglichen Gespräch durchaus gewohnt... ^^;

Ich hab eine F-Oberweite, in manchen Oberteilen kommt soetwas... sozusagen gezwungener Maßen zur Geltung. ^^;

Panartias's avatar

Puh - da fallt mir aber ein Stein vom Herzen! ^^;

Yay for almost becoming wider known!

But then, lopoking at yoiu and how the enjoyment of doing "your thing" jumps from every single picture, may<be that wasnt too bad, artistically speaking.

Now that ive cooled down from my "Woa..." first reaction.

Even though this type of dress doesnt "scream" you as much as a few others (you know my fgavorites^^) its an excellemnt picture.

Mircalla-Tepez's avatar

Oh, yea, from an artistical point of view you might even be right. I only did works for and with designers or for some public relations stuff very rarely in my past and more often then not I was... less satisfied with those pictures than with my personal projects...

Every now and then, personal works made it into local news papers, and I guess I was more happy with those works than with the ones I even got paid for (not as if that happened often.... LOL).

Still, looking back, this whole story is one of the huge 'what if's for me. What if I had travelled to the US for a fotomodel job? Would I have become a professional? Would everything else have continued the same way it did(well, except for the matter of fact I had seen New Orleans... that would have been cool...!)?

Oh well, I will never know. :D

I am really glad to read you think my passion for those photosets is obvious within my work. Really means a lot! :hug:

oh, and I totally get what you mean by saying this white dress does not 'scream' as much me as others. :)

But I think this is kind of part of the beauty of it. When I decided in late 2019 to intensify my photo shooting schedule once again after a long time of being rather inactive, I actually think that I went for an absolutely new level of variety in my work. Vintage inspired, more extreme cosplays than in my earlier years - and a new level of opulence with my rococo photos. To me, they are all dear and emphasize different sides of my personality and aesthetical preferences, usually connected by very similiar styles of makeup to keep them connected lookwise - if possible, that is :D - and... it actually makes me proud to see how 'back to the roots' vampire stuff started to mix with many more influences over the last 18 months. :)

(sorry for that wall of text... ^^;)

Don't be.

Beinng openly told I was more or less right, and that you appreciate my view on your obvious passion, is worth twice that wall, at the least. ^^

Jokes aside, please do continue to experiment, after all my favs are among them, but don't leave your classically stylish stuff out to dry, ok?

Thank you, and as always, stay healthy!

If you hadn't told, I would have never noticed the hair extensions. They are indeed incredible.

Mircalla-Tepez's avatar

Thank you. :D

And so easy to use! You just clip them in as you need them and get them out as soon as you want to have them gone. Best 10 bucks I spent lately. xD

(My natural hair goes down to my waist, so they gave me the extra length of a few cm down to my hips^^)

corujamaster's avatar

Your natural hair is insanely long. It must charges you a lot to keep and maintain it.

Du hast da diesen klassischen Look der alten Horror-Filme. Draculas Braut und ähnliche Filme. Ganz ganz große Klasse. :love: :heart:

Mircalla-Tepez's avatar

Awwwwhh, danke dir vielmals, mein lieber! :hug:

:hug:

Ah, lovely, and just what I need for the story starring yourself. How many more are in this shoot?

Mircalla-Tepez's avatar

At least one more portrait. I will ask Mike if he could do one or two full bodie shots, too. Those are however still a matter of discussion.

In my folder 'cosplay' -> 'Verona' there are already a few older pictures of the look, though. Just in case those are of interesst, too.

Haegun's avatar

I sent a gift your way to thank you for investigating the possibility of more shots in this series.

Mircalla-Tepez's avatar

Oh, thank you so very much! How kind of you! :O :hug:

Yes, I saw those. As usual, I will leave the photographer’s imprints visible, as well as links to the photos and your gallery.
