Yes, I am still salty about this. Naturally, I do not like being tricked, conned, deceived, or swindled by anyone. I knew none of my images would be chosen after looking at the submissions the day before the contest ended, but to lose to images that deliberately ignored the rules? That's unacceptable to me. So, I decided to showcase the images I felt SHOULD have been chosen, because they followed the rules, and are amazing photos. And because of dA's new journal system, I can only post 24 images rather than 25. Enjoy! Edit: I decided to add six more images to this article since I recently learned you CAN add more than 24 images. Imagine that, I found 30 IMAGES, not counting any of my own submissions. What excuse do the judges have??

Eclipse is here to stay now. I have no problem with that as I've always been a firm advocate of this change, but it does put me in a bit of a predicament. You see, I am currently using an outdated computer, which is using an outdated OS, and thus the DA website does not load properly for me. Why do I have this outdated computer with an outdated OS? So that I can still use Photoshop CS6. I am fully aware that I could partition my computer and have 2 separate OS systems, but I am not tech savvy enough to do that on my own, at least without screwing something up. Until I can get someone to do it for me properly, or buy a laptop with an updated

Anyone else notice the recent semifinalists for the still life contest DA was holding? Anyone else notice that way too many of the photos were not actually still lifes, but rather macro shots or photos of a single item? What was the point of instructing us to place a variety of items in a setting and then take a photo of them, if that's not what they were going to choose for the semifinalists? I saw plenty of actual, genuine still life photos that followed the goddamn rules. But nope, as usual, the judges go for the pretty pictures, regardless of what their own rules were supposed to be.
