Egypt-style Silmarillion

For the task of TLV (Tolkien Mailing Competition):

“Do not judge a book by its cover”, they say. Yet, it does matter whether the cover fits the content. Tolkien’s stories have been published with hundreds of different covers, but now we ask you to make yet another.
Design an alternative cover for The Silmarillion in one of the styles below:
a) Classic Egyptian;
b) European avant-garde;
c) Comics, Pop-art.
You can use here any techniques.
The cover sketch should include the name of the author and the title.
