My Bio

Current Residence: Yuma, AZ

I am Dawn Summerall a web developer, folk artist, and author. I just moved to Yuma, AZ from Fargo, ND. I'm addicted to creating a zillion different types of art. I have a lot of fun with it. I do it for the pleasure of creating. I do it for the therapy of self expression. I love it. Some of it turns out well some of it doesn't. All of it is learning. I have a massive gallery in my house. I have way too much art. I'm going to attempt to start selling it this year. I need it gone so I can make some more. I'm like an art hoarder. ;P

We live close to the Mexican border and close to southern California. This area is teeming with art and artists. There is a strong heritage of Mexican art and the area has a lot of Mexican artists. I am so inspired by them. Many of the things I have seen here are folk art inspired and I'm okay with that. I love folk art and outsider art. I love stuff that is primitive but powerful. We live in the desert. But, we can drive to the sea. We can do that now. Its so different than Fargo,ND. I was born and raised in Miami and then I lived in TN for a long time also. I am from so many places now.
