I am Dawn Summerall a web developer, folk artist, and author. I just moved to Yuma, AZ from Fargo, ND. I'm addicted to creating a zillion different types of art. I have a lot of fun with it. I do it for the pleasure of creating. I do it for the therapy of self expression. I love it. Some of it turns out well some of it doesn't. All of it is learning. I have a massive gallery in my house. I have way too much art. I'm going to attempt to start selling it this year. I need it gone so I can make some more. I'm like an art hoarder.

We live close to the Mexican border and close to southern California. This area is teeming with art and artists. There is a strong heritage of Mexican art and the area has a lot of Mexican artists. I am so inspired by them. Many of the things I have seen here are folk art inspired and I'm okay with that. I love folk art and outsider art. I love stuff that is primitive but powerful. We live in the desert. But, we can drive to the sea. We can do that now. Its so different than Fargo,ND. I was born and raised in Miami and then I lived in TN for a long time also. I am from so many places now.
