Måste säga att jag är imponerad av denna målning, jävligt roligt att det handlar om svensk historia, specielt de svenska korstågen, fortsätt med ett bra jobb och mer om Sverige :)

nice sense of light! and the blueish greys are a really nice complement to that sky. perhaps work more on letting the direction of your brushstrokes define forms more. then your figures will really pop. good stuff.

Are those Teutonic knights? I didn't know they fought with Sweden.

Birger Jarl? The one Nevsky marked?

Yes, that's right! Alexander of Novgorod defeated him in the battle of Neva. That didn't stop him from becoming successful at home, though.

Funny how it works, isn't it? Minding Alexander's troubles with Novgorod after that victory...

As someone with an interest in the Medieval period, I really like these pictures. They look great. How do you get your figures so nicely posed?

I love the colors and the atmosphere. It's really ominous. And I like your style.

Do you sketch first on paper or paint straight digitally?

Thank you! I do a couple of rough thumbnails on paper, then I do the rest digitally.
