A Very Full BellyThere have been many occasions over the years where I've stuffed my belly, both intentionally and unintentionally. However, this is one that stands out. Last year I was away from home for Thanksgiving, so my friend Dani invited me to join her and her friends for a homecooked Thanksgiving meal.
Everyone gathered at Dani's apartment with several dishes to share. In total, we had two turkeys, a plate of ham, a plate of chicken, mashed potatoes, carrots, corn, steamed broccoli, squash, and numerous other vegetables, as well as bread and rolls, not to mention a plethora of desserts and wine.
It was a fairly casual affair, and Dani and I were there with six of her other friends who also weren't in the position to go home for the holiday. We crammed into Dani's dining room table, which was piled high with all the food we'd brought, and dug in.
