Walking between walls closing in
The space in front of me a test...
To choose a path so limiting
What good is my view if I cannot see...
My thought palace of possibilities?
Maintain my independency
Until completing my degree
Fall upon this reality
With the credentials to keep me free
Yet I wonder if I will ever see...
Beyond the path before me

Separating 'The Grey' from predictable spotlights
I felt as if I entered 'The Grey' when I stepped into the cinema allocated for the film's screening. The atmosphere changed the room into a torture chamber. It was silent, cold and above all, intense. I did not want to leave the theatre, for fear of missing out on the experience. Believe me, the movie catches you off guard, shoots through your expectations and leaves you struck with thrills, so overwhelming that you cannot help, but shiver instantaneously.
I have always found myself addicted to extremely gripping movies, in this case survival-action. So, before I go on, I want to leave the audience in anticipation, thereby not revealing all
INSOMNIA- movie review
As with every psychological thriller, the audience can expect to see the unfolding of a daunting mystery, dangle in suspense when the protagonist reaches higher ground with the antagonist and finally confirm their own suspicions when the case is resolved.
After viewing the remake of Insomnia (2002), I am reluctant to watch the original 1997 version. That being said, I thought that the recent film (length of 118 minutes) remained true to the title, plot structure and quality acting from Al Pacino and Robin Williams, with the exception of Hilary Swank.
In a brief and concise summary, a homicide detective (Pacino) and his partner (Donovan) tra
Love...Actually?
To my only one, Athena,
I know that confrontation is important in any relationship. However, I am writing this letter because I want you to relive every word left unspoken and every thought that continues to leave me heartbroken. From my leading perspective of events, I hope to open up your mind and soul to the beauty of love and the tragedy that befalls every true tale in this category of hope, lust and agony.
Constructed by moments of pure luck, coincidence, fate and absurd happenings of everyday life, I managed to find the right one when I stumbled upon you. I did not expect to fall in love, nor did I intend to ever fuck it up, but I sho
Interview with a Serial Rapist: A Short Story
As with every morning, I expectantly opened my email to check if I had received any replies to the ridiculous amount of jobs I applied for over the past few weeks. I did not want to consider my friends as opponents, but it felt as if everyone I knew was finding a job before me. Over the past year, I experienced a few horrible short episodes of 'work', particularly in the sales catalogue. This year, however, I planned to change my profile and seek jobs specific to my specialty in creative writing.
Imagination trailed my never-ending pattern of thoughts. I would trade my soul for an opportunity to publish my short stories and poetry. Every con
