High-res stock image (full length) of an elegant woman (my great-grandmother) circa 1890-1900. In this photo she was having her portrait done wearing her first full-length dress as a debutante, so she is quite young.

I thought I'd upload this and a few other similar photographs as I was hoping that someone could use them for something interesting.

Looking for some stock images, this is not what I'm looking for, but I must say that this is one wonderful photo, and she was one really beautiful lady. Beautiful. :)

I think that she had been 'promised' (betrothed/ whatever you may call it) to her future husband before they even properly knew each other...

It's so far away from modern Western dating that it is indeed hard to imagine.

Yeah, I have loads of them (about a hundred I guess) all from my grandmother's side of the family (she had a BIG family!)
