I'm finally back doing personal art after 3 years... buh @___@

I'm sorry if you had sent a note or comment and I never replied. I literally had 10k messages and I cannot go through them all. I am starting fresh so if you still need something answered please do resend it. I also need to reconnect all the wallpapers because the links are broken ;__;

Thank you for being patient <3333.
Please pardon the state of my page for the next few days. All of my images (including links to the wallpapers) were linked to milkbun.net. I ended up not renewing that domain and sticking with milkbun.com. I need a few days to drag everything over!

Well I guess I can also say I'm sorry that nothing new is going on here at all ;__;.
Too little time these days. It will only get worse as me and my husband are expecting our first baby next month o/

Hopefully when things settle down by the end of the year, I'll be able to get back to my projects on here... mainly more felt plush. I LOVE felt plush and miss making them.

Will there be new toki calendars for 2010?
Well now that I wrote it there sure better be. I'll be doing them over holiday break.

Last chance to get any animal ideas in that you'd like to see them of.

Still incredibly busy working for Gaia Online and my day job. (and playing Aion in between)

Sorry for seemingly disappearing. I am here, just haven't found much time to upload anything. I've been doing alot of RL commissions as well, so I'm hoping I can share those soon ^_^. They're all pretty neat (AND SUPER CUTE).

The other reason I have been absent, and will continue to be absent is I picked up a second job. I now make sprite asset creations for Gaia Online. Meaning, WHOO~ I get to dress up dolls with pixels again; this time as a job not just a hobby! Feel free to visit me there and maybe see some milkbun items.

Love you all

FINALLY... A million years later, I got the new host working. I didn't upload all the sites up yet, but all the images for dA are up, and if you were waiting to get a wallpaper, it's available again.

Yesterday we were just cruising around Best Buy and we saw how cheap monitors have gotten. So the husband almost forced me to buy a new one because he wants my old flat screen (his graphics card can't handle his widescreen too well). So now I'm sporting my new 23" widescreen and his 20" widescreen. It's the sweetest set up ever and I want to lick it all! I've been dual-monitoring for a year, but I have so much space on my desktop it's ridiculous!! If you have an old monitor lying around (or you get a new one) and enough desk space I really recommend it. It's pretty easy to set up too.

I'm not a fan of sharing too much personal stuff online, but so many have asked, so here is an itsy picture from the wedding:

I'm sorry if anyone has been attempting to access milkbun.net or pixtoki.com
I know it has come up especially for people trying to download my wallpapers.

The host I share with Monica expired while I was away. I knew it would, and I wasn't going to renew with that host anyway. It will just be a few days while I find a new one and it pulls money from my bank account to my paypal account (only $1 left T___T)

tutorial part 2?

Journal Entry: Mon Feb 23, 2009, 12:12 PM

I was thinking of maybe doing a part 2 to me Illustrator Tutorial. It would be more advanced tricks and techniques I know.

But I am wondering if there is anything particular that those who use Illustrator want to know. Maybe there is something in my gallery you don't know how I did, or something in someone else's gallery? Or maybe you just don't understand one of the tools or don't think you are doing something efficiently? Leave me comments or links and let me know n__n.

I decided at the very last moment that yes I will be making a cute Valentine's papercraft this year. Which means I started it yesterday and it should be done later today or early tomorrow. It's so cute if I may say so my self n__n. Just in time to make it and give it out.

What else?
With my wedding at the end of April, it's that time to do serious dieting! It's actually been working surprisingly well as I always fail at dieting. I know I won't make it to my ultimate goal, but I think I'll make it to my college days weight by the 3-month time.
I'm soooooo looking forward to Valentine's day as I'll break the diet for 1 day and eat, omg PANCAKES (I have been craving pancakes like you wouldn't believe... so fluffy and golden brown *drools*)...

My friend pointed out that Amazon now has a Digital Game Downloader section and they're offering some games for free. They removed the fun ones it seems ;__;. They still have 2 Bejeweled-type games, one of which I tried and is super fun! The purchase will ask you for payment information, but it charges nothing. You need to download their downloader to get the games, it's a small program. Keep it open the first time you play through a game. It will first tell you it's a trial, but after 30 mins it will verify you purchased it and will let you keep playing.

I think it is pretty sad that I consider myself artistic and that I went to art college, yet I suck at drawing!!

I'm trying to kind of broaden myself and do some hand drawn items as opposed to vector style. There are especially some styles I really admire that look very sketchy and freehanded with varying thickness of lines... and well a certain quality that even while rough looks charming! I'm sure alot of that technique involves using the original pencil drawing as the actual lineart once it's colored... but I wonder if anyone recreates the lines in photoshop?

I know all about the pen tool and using a pen pressured stroke! That's all I find in line art tutorials. Does anyone know of a tutorial that has some advanced tips and tricks or some good brushes for Photoshop.

Thanks n__n

calendars + holidays

Journal Entry: Mon Dec 8, 2008, 2:00 PM

Alot of people ask me about new toki calendars for this upcoming year. I finally got them all done this weekend so if you want to use it as a Holiday present it will be available to you. You can glue it on the one spot, keep it flat in a card or stocking and all the person has to do is tuck and fold it in.

They have a slight twist this time. I had the animals all set in my mind, then I started looking at Illustrator pre-made color schemes and the one for icecream was so yummy that I had to use it. I'll have them up by end of today when I find some time during work to fix up the files. n__n

I'm so excited for the next few weeks. First it's Christmas (and I love buying presents), a few days later it's my birthday (I don't want to get old T_T), then it's a new year, tax returns (come on 2nd stimulus check) and then my wedding!! I think 2009 will be good

holidays + cows

Journal Entry: Sun Nov 30, 2008, 8:21 PM

I hope everyone had an enjoyable holiday! Especially the few extra days off (unless you work retail, then I'm just sorry XD)

We had planned to go to Walmart on Black Friday at 5am. We didn't -really- need anything but you can't argue they had some great deals. We ended up just staying up the night and left at 4:45am (we're not that crazy of course). I was kinda looking forward to it since I never witnessed a Black Friday shopping frenzy before. Of course when we got there it was evident people have been waiting on line for MANY hours as the line not only went around the corner of Walmart, but around the next corner as well. There were hundreds of people and it was 25 degrees with frost on the ground. No way we were waiting and dealing with that mess. Did everybody hear how one Walmart employee DIED on Friday? That's insane... I think this will be the first and last time I even contemplate going out on this day.

We just drove right out of there and went to our nice warm bed. Unfortunately I got woken up a few hours later by mysterious sounds. The cows from our neighbor's home came right up to the corner of their fence where our properties meets and kept staring and mooing at us. @_@ They look like scary skull cows to me:

Photobucket

I think they want our delicious grass... we have alot of green left on our lawn unlike most people (as you can tell by their lawn). Everyone wants the tasty-tasty grass. We've had as many as 8 deer in the backyard munching away at it one morning.

I should have something up tomorrow I hope. I've been a busy girl during my vacation n___n

So I see now that you -must- have an account to upload to Photobucket. Why do I remember that you can just upload a file and copy the link they give you -_-
But is there really no way of sending a message to a user saying something like "Hey jerk-face, stop posting my artwork on your account"??

Sometimes my wrist will hurt since I'm on the computer anywhere from 8-12 hours a day. But right now my clicky pointer finger is killing me. I was so damn confused when I found way too many messages this morning. I thought it was an error that added an extra digit @_@.

Seems I accidentally received another DD even though my DD time span wasn't up. I'm happy it was the Valentine's Box though. It's still one of the projects I had the most fun doing. So to thank all the watches and faves, I will really try to finish the new tokis this weekend and have them up soon.

Richard stole my camera though, so I need to wait till Sunday or Monday. He baked me a casserole, kissed me goodbye and went on a plane to the dorky Blizzcon where I hear he will try his hand at Live-Action PvPing >_>;;

Last weekend we decided to buy pets for our cats. Enjoy! A crappy video of our littlest playing with them. He is so cute, but so stupid. One time he chased his shadowy reflection around in circles while on top of the printer/copier. We love hims so much n__n

+++BONUS! I just found stickers inside my box of rocket pops. What a wonderful day+++

I'm still busy doing commissions every week (some which I can't wait to show), but it's finally slowing down, I feel much better these days.

Also thank you ShoneGold for another DD

Wishing you a Happy Halloween now

work + fuzzies

Journal Entry: Sun Aug 31, 2008, 1:59 PM

Eeek! I haven't written in awhile. My work-work has been super busy for the past month. I'm doing erratic hours because they keep asking me to clock in early because of looming deadlines. Yeah it didn't help that they FIRED someone so now us employees are spread even thinner XD. I also have 3 different freelance projects going on, keeping my weekends busy. I should stop taking commissions, but truth is I am broke. It cost us over $5000 to move here from the east coast and I still have old bills to pay. I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel though! n__n

I am enjoying my life here in Oregon though. I thought I would be having cabin fever since I work at home, but it's actually pretty nice. I am surrounded by outdoors and it's nice and sunny every day.

Like 2 weeks after we moved in we went to the local shelter and adopted a new kitten. We had always had this planned for after we moved so that our older cat, Darwin had a companion. Tanis (points if you know the reference XD) is that very common gray/black tabby coloring. Which I actually never found pretty. But for some reason I was drawn to him. The second I picked him up, (he was the tiniest thing!) he purred immediately and started cuddling in my arms. He's the sweetest cat I've ever met and loves being held. Him and Darwin are now always together so I'm a happy mom <3

Piccies!

NEVER AGAIN!!

Journal Entry: Wed Jul 23, 2008, 11:34 PM

I am alive and I made it to Oregon! XD

My journey of epic proportions finally finished yesterday afternoon. Never, ever self move from one coast to the other. It was hard, tiring, boring and stressful. Why the hell did I go through that @__@

We rented a 16 foot truck from Penske and a car tow (placing our own car on top). This setup is really unwieldy. The tow never goes straight behind you when you back up. Our first day with it, we drove to my parents house to take some of their furniture and we got stuck in their driveway (plus one way street may I add) for an hour. It took us 5 hours to get stuff from our apartment to the truck!! This is because we lived in a 5th floor walkup and had to take breaks constantly. When it was over we were so happy and sat in the truck and were ready to go. We put the key in the ignition... and nothing... the truck didn't start!! Luckily some guy who wanted our primo parking spot bad enough, came and jumped us and we were off. Not so luckily, it didn't start again after we filled up with gas for the first time. We had to stall for an hour while a new battery was put in. Thankfully nothing else went wrong with the truck.

The scariest parts took place in the mountains of Montana. The truck almost overheated twice because we had to use so much power to get it up the mountains. Going down, my hands were clutching the seat in a death grip. Careening down a mountain path that winds the whole way down at 75+ MPH and dogding the slower cars because breaks don't really work on a big truck is scary stuff.

If we didn't have our cat with us, and weren't in a rush to get here by Tuesday because I had to return to work, we might have enjoyed America more. But we just drove through, and frankly, most of America (especially the middle parts) are boring to go through. Flat lands and farms and scary tiny towns.

I'm still adjusting to the change. It's very drastic to go from a small apartment in NYC to a 2+acre giant home. There is so much to do and we don't have enough furniture hehe. And to highlight the difference between the different people here and NYC: Our next door neighbor knocked on our door and gave us two chicken curry dinners in tupperware PLUS plastic utensils because she knew we just moved in. So nice T_T

I'll babble more when my head stops spinning. Thanks for the ton of faves/watches/comments. I will try to answer most very soon.

<3

Here it comes... end of chapter

Journal Entry: Fri Jul 4, 2008, 7:28 PM

This might be long...

AMAGAD! I can't believe it. In just over a week I am packing up my entire life into boxes, grabbing the fiance and moving to the West Coast. (btw, when I say that, why do people always assume California? XD). But no, we are moving to Central Oregon (Bend). On July 1st it finally hit me how crazy this is @_@. I mean why the hell am I moving from New York City to a state or house I have never been to!

In truth, we had moving on our mind ever since Richard moved here 2 years ago from South Dakota. But it was back to SD. Not to the middle of Oregon. NYC just isn't an easy place to raise a family and I can't stand the NY suburbs (don't start on Jersey >_> ).

And continuing the truth game, I am really excited about the final result of our move. Everyone who lives or has visited Oregon says it's a beautiful state (no sales tax!). We're inheriting a house my parents bought a few years ago but haven't used. It's a very lovely home that is way bigger than our modest 2 bedroom here. It sits on over 2 acres of land and has lots of nice trees and bushes. We're excited about the little things after living here in NYC for so long. A GARAGE!! A WASHER+DRYER!!! HECK YES!!! hehe. OMG, but can't forget about the hot tub room. It's not just a room with a hot tub. It's a room built just for a hot tub. XD There is also an out of commission volcano (it's a big hill) 5mins from us, tons of rivers and a ski resort. Should be fun!

The drive however will be a bitch. 5+ days in a truck, with one unhappy cat. It will not be fun at all. She hates change, and she freaks out when we take her out to just the stairwell. Forget the car. This plus all the work that goes into moving has been why I have been so busy and stressed out lately. It's a huge undertaking to just pick up your life and start in a new town where you don't know anyone.

Luckily, my company is being extremely gracious, and I've managed to convince them to let me keep my job and work remotely from home in Oregon. I was hoping to work only part time, but working from home (cause I know I won't work every hour) will give me lots more free time to work on milkbun and other projects. I'll also probably start freelancing for another company who I've made really cute stuff for already. I will post those up one day too. If by August you aren't seeing new work from me, make sure to kick me in the butt!! I need motivation to make all these dreams in my head come true~~! XD

I'll be back the last week of July. I'm sorry if I don't get to reply to comments/faves/watches so thank you so much in advance <3
If anyone lives in Oregon (mostly central Oregon, we are 3 hours from Portland) please let me know what cool and fun things there is to do and what to expect.

Wish me luck~ *muuuuahhhh* n__n
