Zephyr Brute (2025 Remastered)

So Zephyr Brute Was Once A Character That Had A Different Backstory. But After Some Time I Decided To Give Him A New Backstory Here. Here's The Backstory:

1948-1949:

Zephyr Brute Was Once Built As A Faulty M1 Steam Turbine For The C&O. As A Fictional Add-On To His Class, He Also Became The Epitome Of The C&O's Financial Insecurities. And He Was Often Bullied By C&O 501 & 502, 2 Other M1s, While C&O 500 Was More Polite & Supportive To Him. Despite Him Feeling Like A Burden To Both His Class & The C&O, He Yearns For A Better Future In Life - Being Much More Successful Than Before. His Dream Would Come True In 1949; One Of The CEO Workers For The Southern Pacific's Sacramento Shops Visited The C&O For Some Engines They Been Looking To Purchase From Them. After Some Time, Engine No. 503, (Zephyr Brute) Was Purchased By The SP For Overhaul & Continued Service - Much To His Bullys Shock & Dismay, And Much To His Elation.

1949-1956:

He Was Sent To The SP Sacramento Shops In Sacramento, CA For Full Overhaul. He Was COMPLETELY Rebuilt Into A Diesel Engine. But Still Retained His Original Outline. And Was Reclassified As An MX-1. They Also Added 2 Single Ton Weights In Him To Increase His Tractive Effort, Though Handicapped His Performance. To Solve This, The Shops Give Him 3 FB Units To Cure His Performance Disabilities. They Gave It A Try, And It Worked! So They Built 3 New FB Units For Him. And Finally, They Also Manufactured 2 Additional Cabooses (A Bay Window Caboose & A Transfer Caboose) To House A Crew Inside, So That Inspections To His FB Units Were Less Timely And More Efficient. He Was Later Outshopped From The SP Sacramento Shops In 1956.

1957-1977:

After He Was Outshopped, He Was Named "Zephyr Brute" After A Passenger Service He Would Work On Between 1957-1966: The Zephyr Eagle. The Zephyr Eagle Originated At San Diego, CA And Terminated At New Orleans, LA. Though The Passenger Service Would Be Discontinued In 1966 Due To A Lack Of Passenger Attraction & Attention. But He Would Eventually Be Put On The Coast Daylight (Daylight Limited) Between 1967-1968, And The Sunset Limited Between 1969-1971. When Amtrak Took Over The Services In 1971, Zephyr Brute Was Put On Freight Services Until 1972 When He Was Retired. But The Southern Pacific Didn't Want To Scrap Something That They Made Successful, In This Case, It's Zephyr Brute. So That Same Year, The California State Railroad Museum Purchased Him For Preservation. He Would Stay There Until 1977, When The A&G Central Later Purchased Him For Their Railroad Museum (The A&G Railroad Museum. Though In Recent Years, It Was Renamed To The A&G Transportation Museum Because They Began Preserving Vehicles). He Was Cosmetically Restored For Preservation In His Old C&O Livery, His FB Units Were Painted In A SF Yellowbonnet Paint Scheme, And His Cabooses Were Repainted Into A Chessie System Livery For Preservation.

2007-Pres:

During The Age Of Restoration For The A&G Central, He Was Fully Restored Between 2007-2011 For Freight Operations. And Was At One Point A Hostile Character From 2012-2020. But One Of His Friends, Named Gustnado, Left The Hostile Side For The Passive Side. And Zephyr Brute Had Sympathy For Him, And Didn't Want Him To Go By Himself, So He Joined The Passive Side, Too. But Due To The Hostile Side, He Has A Rather Irascible Attitude, But Means Well. And To Some, He's Sometimes Referred To As "Zephyrus" Or "Zephyrus Brute." But Interestingly Though, He Was Purchased By The Zephyr Central After Being Outshopped In 2011, A Westernmost Railroad The A&G Collaborated With. But When The Zephyr Central Was Absorbed By The A&G Central In 2023, Zephyr Brute Still Retained His ZC Livery, Same With His 2 Cabooses, Making Him A Heritage Unit. He Is Also The A&G's Strongest Engine At 556 kNs Of Tractive Effort As He Can Haul Trains That Are 100 Cars Long. And Now That He's Passive, But Still Having A Rather Irascible Temper, He Is Known For This Saying: "If You Be Nice To Me, I'll Be Twice As More Nice To You, But If You Treat Me Badly, I'll Treat You Twice As Bad!"

Hope That New Backstory I Established Gave Zephyr Brute A More Distinguished History & Personality.
