Golden Spike Was Named In Dedication To The Last 4 Spikes Installed In The Transcontinental Railroad. And Those 4 We're Golden Spikes.

In 1923 However, Golden Spike Was Taking A Train Of Dynamite To A Mining Industry In Idaho. The Train Stopped At A Signal To Wait For Another Train To Pass By. But At The Time, There Was A Brutal Heat Wave In The Area. And The Train Was Also Stopped On A Bridge. The Bridge Wasn't Tall, But Since The Brutal Heat Wave Was So Hot, It Caused A Fuse On A Stick Of Dynamite To Ignite. And The Train Exploded And Collapsed The Bridge After The First 10 Boxcars Exploded. And Golden Spike Fell Off The Ledge And Topple Down The Slope And Another Boxcar Full Of Dynamite Fell On Top Of Him And Exploded Taking Him Along With It. And All Of The Debris From The Train And Golden Spike Toppled Down The Mountainside. And Portions Of His Body Was Scraped And Other Parts Like His Tender, His Cab And His Cowcather Are Preserved.
