News had quickly spread about Godzilla's demise at the hands of Hedorah who had now claimed his title as The King of the Monsters. No militaries or governments have even dared tried to attack Hedorah ever since his victory against the former king. For Hedorah, he was allowed to do whatever he want.

The smog monster and new king had left destruction on his path since his triumph of winning. Many of earth's monsters even refused to have fight him fearing of suffering a similar fate as Godzilla did by his hands.

Hedorah was enjoying his new title. Everywhere he stepped, destruction was left in his wake. Most of Japan had evacuated fearing of Hedorah would come anytime to continue spreading misery. At the moment of the time. The Smog monster has arrived in Shibushi in the Kagoshima Prefecture. Today, he was going to feed off of the oil from the japan shibushi oil stockpile site. Hedorah couldn't wait to feast life had been great for him ever since.

Suddenly the pollution abomination sensed the presence of an monster. Mockingly in glee. Hedorah didn't understand why any monster now would dare try to challenge him after what he's done. However this was one he's never met or seen in his life. Off from shore, what was supposedly a tidal wave at first raised from the waves below only this wasn't a tidal wave, the true source revealed itself as water broke away pouring down from the creatures body. Once every ounce of water returned to the ocean below, the massive creature arrived on land, nostrils flaring up showing his disgust and hate to the monster before him.

Normally the Smog Monster would've been mocking this monsters efforts but the moment he gazed on this monsters appearance, Hedorah had suddenly became completely shocked as he backed away surprised, his eyes widened with disbelief. Was that really actually who he think it is? Godzilla? No! It couldn't be! Godzilla was dead! He had killed the former King! How was it even possible for him to actually be alive right here and now!?

But it was upon closer inspection that it wasn't the Godzilla he knew but rather possibly a species closely related. He was much more stocky in built and like the Godzilla he knew had a row of spikes going down his back and tail. He had short but very muscular arms that indicated he was a monster of great physical strength and eyes and a brow that was shown to be noble like that of an Eagle.

The elder reptile had awoken after hundreds of millions of years of slumbering in the depths of the ocean until he sensed it. The earth was imbalance. In danger because of this... thing. This thing that wasn't part of the natural balance. He was here to do his job. His job to bring that balance back so no longer could Hedorah make the world bleed with his presence.

Whatever this creature that resembled Godzilla was to Hedorah mattered no more now that he knew its true identity. Either way, this creature wanted a challenge and so Hedorah would give him one, he'd be gladly to give what will be its final request. It'd soon share the same fate as Godzilla did.

Hedorah croaked out accepting the elder's challenge.

Godzilla roared out as he charged forth spreading out his claws and digging them into Hedorah's flesh, as he sank them deeper, suddenly the alpha predator felt a terrible sensation of burning pain as he was forced to let go roaring out in agony. Hedorah laughed out, enjoying the pain his foe experienced. The elder reptile looked at his hands covered in the vile slime that ate away at his flesh exposing muscle tissue, while the alpha predators hide withstood the sludge much better then his now deceased mutant relative, the damage was still significant. Whatever stuff his foe was made of, the elder learned not to make that same mistake touching it again unless he was given no choice.

Turning his head up, the alpha predator was suddenly met with balls of sludge that Hedorah threw out splashing against his hide, roaring out as the sludge did its work. Godzilla quickly wiped the stuff off. Hedorah advanced on Godzilla only for the smog monster to be met with a swipe from Godzilla's tail knocking him back. Hedorah gurgled in annoyance leaving Godzilla with an open to attack but not physically as the Permian reptile noticed a small building nearby and leaned down to grab it tearing it off from the soil as he tossed it at Hedorah, as the Smog Monster soon recovered, he looked to see the building smash against his body, shrieking it pain, Hedorah backpedaled.

Realizing he was currently having the upper hand, the elder reptile swung his tail across the ground to allow remaining pieces of debris that fell from the small building to fly into the air like dust as they bashed against Hedorah's face, some getting into one of his eyes temporary blinding him there. Hedorah screeched again only in annoyance this time. As Hedorah was too distracted, realizing the reputation the slime beast possessed and the inability to fight him physical, Godzilla decided to unleash his ultimate attack.

Only he didn't have the chance too as suddenly Hedorah recovered quickly having gotten fed up as he lunged towards the ancient predator. Godzilla's eyes widened with surprise as he tried in vain to quickly get out of harm's way, he was only able to turn his body before Hedorah latched on forcing Godzilla to roar out as he was brought to the ground. Now at his mercy this time, Hedorah wasn't going to let this supposed relative of the Godzilla he killed a chance to retaliate and was going to finish him off right here and now. As Hedorah spread out his toxic sludge, Godzilla roared out in agony feeling the same pain he experienced earlier when he made the mistake of touching Hedorah, already he could feel his scaly flesh begin dissolve, despite the pain he was enduring, the ancient elder allowed willpower to overcome the pain especially having just figured out a way to get Hedorah off of him.

As Hedorah continued to try smothering Godzilla, the toxic alien in return felt a burning pain, croaking out in agony, Hedorah got off of the legendary predator and to his horror looked down to see the frontal body of his all dried and cracked up, confused on what just happen. Looking he found his answer as his foe was not only coming back up but his dorsal fins were lit up just like that of the previous Godzilla. Hedorah's suspicions were proven right, somewhat or somehow, if the resemblance definitely was enough, this mysterious creature had to surely be related to the former King.

Godzilla eyed Hedorah warily awaiting the Smog Monster's next move only to then notice something that caught his attention. He saw how Hedorah's front was all dried up from lighting up his dorsal spikes and realized there was in fact a way to killing this abomination that plagued the balance he swore to protect throughout the millions of years he lived and just like that, a plan sudden came into his mind knowing from his great sensed the oil pile behind far from Hedorah composed of stuff that could tip the odds in his favor, all he had to do was lure Hedorah there and hope his plan was a success.

The relative of the former Monster King just stood there deciding to allow Hedorah to attack, who fired a glob of sludge, with ease, Godzilla dodged it but it was all just an distraction as Hedorah lunged again but this time Godzilla was prepared, using the inertia of his weight, the alpha predator moved to the side as Hedorah missed crashing head first into the ground. Without much further observation, Godzilla moved as quickly as he could to reach the oil site. The Smog Monster gurgled in anger pulling himself back up and turned to look and see his foe supposedly make a hasty retreat, one that he wouldn't give him, instantly transforming into his flying form, Hedorah took to the air making a beeline for his retreating foe leaving behind a thick trail of smog in the process.

Having just reached the Bay's water, Godzilla continued on with his trail only to hear something from behind him, before he had a chance to react, he felt his eyes water and itch as smog covered his surroundings as he collapsed into the bay, looked up, he could see through his watery vision that Hedorah was above him circling him like a bird of prey, before he knew it, Hedorah began to fire his red rays striking Godzilla all over as he roared out in pain. Watching that his foe was succumbing against Hedorah's will, the Smog Monster came down landing on top of him attempting to smother him again, but instantly before Hedorah could completely latch on, Godzilla threw his body backwards forcing Hedorah off as he went crashing into the bay. The alpha predator watched as Hedorah turned back into his final form. Croaking with anger, the slime covered abomination tossed a ball of toxic slime at Godzilla who managed to quickly duck as it flew over his head before the Smog Monster tossed another once again but managed to narrowly avoid another vile projectile, but his luck was short lived. A third glob came immediately after and struck him in the shoulder. Hedorah chortled with wicked glee as the Permian predator cried out and desperately tried to wipe the tar off of his shoulder. No matter how many times Hedorah slimed him, Godzilla found himself surprised by the acid flesh. The sludge burned like hellfire itself.

Hedorah’s taunting continued. He savored every moment of the torture, choosing to sprinkle acid on Godzilla instead of full on globs. Every agonized cry or howl brought joy to Hedorah’s soul; Little did he know, however, that they were a ruse. Godzilla put on a show for the wicked ghoul, knowing it would distract Hedorah long enough for him to come up with a plan. Now all he had to do was wait.

Throwing back his head to cackle, Hedorah left himself wide open. As soon as he saw this, Godzilla sprung. Launching towards Hedorah, Godzilla scooped up a massive oil tanker from the Bay and struck the distracted slime beast full force. Since Godzilla’s strikes were no longer limited by Hedorah’s acid flesh, he could use his true strength.

In that moment, the King of the Monsters became a samurai, swinging the boat with process that was surprising for a brute like him. He brought the boat up into Hedorah’s chin and staggered the slime creature. Using the momentum from that blow, Godzilla brought the ship around and hit Hedorah in the gut. The smog monster bent over, allowing Godzilla to knee him in his bulbous red eye and shoot him back to a standing position.

All of the blows had Hedorah unable to retaliate, but Godzilla knew his luck was about to run out. The acidic properties of his foes’ skin were taking their toll on the ship. Only a few strikes more and the vessel little more.

it had almost completely dissolved altogether. With a mighty heave, Godzilla chucked the final undissolved piece of the ship and struck Hedorah on the forehead, causing the walking waste to fall back first into the sea.

But Godzilla knew it wouldn’t be enough to put down the sludge beast. Foggy blue light once more illuminated at the tip of Godzilla’s armored tail. It traveled up to his neck alarmingly fast, until it shot out of his throat without warning and struck Hedorah where his mouth would be. High pitched squealing sounded from Hedorah as the slime on his chest began to boil. It drilled down until Hedorah’s his movement ceased completely, and Godzilla’s blue fire shortly followed.

The blue light traveled back down to Godzilla’s tail. The leviathan exhaled deeply, trying to cool the radioactive heat in his gullet. He stared at the blank eyed Hedorah, who moved up and down with the current.

Godzilla had to be sure the smog monster was dead. He walked around to Hedorah’s other side and craned his neck over the unconscious slimes body.

With a loud ZAP, a red laser shot and caught Godzilla right on the nose, causing him to back away with a cry of pain. Hedorah rose to his feet and croaked out with fury. He was going to tear this reptile limb from limb!

Godzilla rubbed his nose up and down, trying to numb the pain. As he tended to himself, the titanic reptile stared at his newly arisen foe and saw something: The space beneath Hedorah’s eyes was cracked and dry like a riverbed during the high of summer. When the smog monster moved about, pieces of his dry head fell and splashed down into the water below. Godzilla’s radioactive breath had dried him out! It was just like earlier when Godzilla used his dorsal spikes but to the ancient predator's advantage had caused more significant damage in the process.

Hedorah noticed too, but rather by pain than sight. He stared down at his chest and wiped away the ash with a slimy hand, wincing with every stroke. To a human, it would feel like stroking a second-degree burn with a steel wool brush.

Looking back up, Hedorah croaked in anger and shot off another red eye beam. What he didn’t expect was a tank of oil flying at his face. The two projectiles collided mid air.

The explosion was massive. It expanded in a ball of orange fire, engulfing Hedorah’s face. He screamed and shrieked, holding his hands to his burnt face and turning away from the lingering gas.

Godzilla took several rapid breaths, preparing himself for the pain to come.

The cry began deep in his throat, escalating out into a sound like giant foghorn. The King of the Monsters lunged forward and grabbed Hedorah around the waste.

The Toxic Heathen felt himself being lifted into the air. Releasing his dried out eyes and face, Hedorah beat at Godzilla’s arms, but Godzilla seemed immune to the pain. He walked backwards towards the oil stockpile, causing Hedorah to strike harder and harder, but it was too late. Crying out with pain and exhaustion, Godzilla bent backwards and slammed Hedorah head first into the stockpile in a suplex of epic proportions. Hedorah’s massive form crushed the white cylinders; Hence, black oil flooded out and completely filled the concrete walls. Godzilla let go, allowing Hedorah to flop into the black liquid. The crocodilian giant’s chest had been completely burned of skin, exposing red muscle and flowing blood, but Godzilla maintained an angry calm that would scare even the most terrifying of foes.

Hedorah rose to his hands and knees, staring at the oily pool he rested in. His dry reflection stared up at him. Slowly, The smog monster and his mirror almost communicated. If Hedorah could have smiled, he would have.

Hedorah cackled as he dunked his face into the jet black lake. The oil was disrupted, forming black tides as Hedorah forcefully slurped up the pollution. The sensation of his cracked face wettening and regenerating was the most refreshing thing he had ever felt. As the final dry spot sealed, Hedorah’s exposed veins took in the oil and began pumping it to his chest.

The pollutants were so delectable and enthusing that Hedorah didn’t notice the blue light shine again. Godzilla felt immense pain as his chest barreled in and out heavily, billowing his inner flame. The muscles on his chest slid and flexed, steam seeping out of his wounds. He never realized how much his chest armor mattered when charging up his atomic breath, but he would regenerate. All that mattered right now was destroying this acidic bastard once and for all.

His radioactive flamethrower shot forth one final time. As soon as it came into contact with the oil it kicked up a blue flame on surface, which spread out in every direction; Including Hedorah’s.

Eventually, the whole surface was covered in blue fire, including portion Hedorah was slurping up. The screaming started immediately after Hedorah slurped up a massive portion of turquoise flame. His poisonous skin sizzled and glowed a bright blue, pulsating through his body and invading his eyes.

Hedorah’s movements become ragged and stiff. It was as if he was turning to stone, the way he began to tense up and drain of color. Parts of him began to crack and drop as he tried to escape the force within his veins.

A final cracking sound marked the final movement of Hedorah as his body finally froze over. His eyes continued to shift and stare, but his body seemed to be frozen in time. Godzilla stood, pained chest heaving and bronze eyes locking onto a desperate Hedorah. The Permian predator could almost hear his foe’s silent plea for his life, but any mercy or conscience Godzilla had possessed before had slithered away when the first blow was dealt.

Dread filled Hedorah as he watched the scarred reptile turn his side to the alien and test his tail. Godzilla raised up the powerful appendage, winded up…

And swung. In one powerful movement that shattered through the sound barrier, sending a shock wave through the air, Godzilla smashed into the ashen Hedorah. The smog monster went up in a puff of ash, leaving no distinguishable features.

Godzilla watched as the smog monster’s ashes drifted away into the horizon like a terrifying storm cloud. Finally, the legendary smog monster had become just that: Smog. He tried to muster a roar, but all he could manage was a sort of groan into the sky. He coughed and sputtered, trying to clear the ash from his throat.

Godzilla decided he could gloat another day. For now, he would get his rest.

With a flick of his tail and flop of exhaustion, Godzilla slipped his head into the sea returned to his ocean home as surviving onlookers watched on with awe shocked at Hedorah's sudden defeat by this mysterious monster that has as if had just arrived and then left like it was sudden.
