This is hainging in my room and i recently decided to take the magazine clippings that read "the art of the tortured mind" off. So imagine those arent there anymore. I might try to take a better photograph of it eventually. I think the real thing looks much better that the photograph.

Thank you very much :)

This is wonderful, very nicely put together. Did you have to photocopy the articles or are they originals?
MikeM92's avatar
Thank you very much :]

They are not originals. They were from a book that included many newspaper articles involving crime since the 16th century.

I'm more on the "no" side of that. Read the artist's comments on "commercialism" If you would like to know more.

When I saw this piece, I got the shivers. It's crazy b/c art rarely does that to me.
I think your collage is flawless. Everything flows together well and I like how it's all tied up with red splatters.

A really moving piece. Collage is one of my favorite mediums and I think you utilize it quite well to express your point.

There are some things that come across so much better using a traditional approach. Sadly, I mostly only do digital collage these days because I don't currently have anything resembling my own studio space and my children are guaranteed to destroy anything on paper.

Great work.
