Araucária pine trees against the sunset sky of the Planalto Serrano region, Brazil.
The Brazilian pine, locally known as Araucária, is a conifer tree typically found in the southern regions of Brazil, mainly at high altitudes.
They make these great silhouettes, don't they?
This region is also know for awesome winter sunsets and the casual snow.

Almost immediately, I could see this as a brilliant desktop wallpaper, or something in the background while one listens to a great trance or progressive house track on Youtube. This photo just has that ability to relax you, create a new world and make us appreciate what we have on Earth, all in the one shot.
I like how the greatest focus is on the sunset which combines nicely with the silhouettes in the foreground. I really don’t think there’s any more that I can say other than that. It just has that nice set of warm colours to get people thinking about their next holidays.
Wonderful shot as always, Miguel. Certainly hope to come across more.
