My first HDR with my new Nikon D80

This was also my first visit to the gravel pits outside Winnipeg which was a little adventure of its own. There are a few gravel companies out there, all private property and gated but I found one open and drove in. I didn't see anyone around and spent an hour eargely snapping pics in this desolate apocalyptic environment. Just as I was heading out a big gravel truck pulled in and the driver rolled down his window and I was sure I was in big trouble. The first thing out of his mouth was "What year is that car?? That's a mighty hot number for a little lady like you to be driving." We spent the next half hour happily chatting and I drove off with some amazing shots
