Tacos. Yes tacos, those delicious meat and cheese covered thing. Let’s not forget about pizza, however! Pizza, that sauce filled delicacy. While pizza and tacos both have many differences, they also have some similarities! For example, both pizza and tacos have sauce! While pizza is usually marinara, tacos have taco sauce.
Another thing to talk about is the toppings! Pizza and tacos both have toppings, such as meat and vegetables! One type of meat and vegetable on pizza is sausage and tomatoes! “What about tacos?” you may ask. Tacos have ground beef and salsa verde!
A few more things to discuss are differences. Let’s talk about ingredients! A few things tacos have are hard-shell tacos, seasoned ground beef, cheese, lettuce, and sometimes tomato, onion, salsa, sour cream, and avocado or guacamole! One thing pizza has, on the other hand, is marinara sauce, cheese, a crust, and anything from sausage to peppers!
Next, let’s tac-o about their origin! While the origins of the taco are not precisely known, there was a mention in a newspaper about in in 1905. The person who invented the taco was a man named Glen Bell. He created the taco shell in 1950. On the other hand, pizza originated in Italy, in June 11th, 1889, to honour the Queen, Margherita of Savoy. It was called “Pizza Margherita", and it was made by Raffaele Esposito. The toppings were tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil, in the colours of Italy’s flag.
In conclusion, pizza and tacos are both great food. They come from different parts of the world, but taste amazing nonetheless. While they have differences, they also have many similarities that make them unique! These aren’t your normal brunch foods. These are pizza and tacos.
