DogDay in the Rain

Artistic Notes

The narrative for this art is pretty much up to the folks who read this, I thought about typing one out but personally I thought that allowing folks to make their own would be more fun in a way. I knew if I was going to draw DogDay again I'd have to experiment with specific design shenanigans. So I messed with gradients, saturation, lighting, and specific parts of DogDay's design to make it more creative in a way. Really when it comes to combining a somewhat realistic/logical style with character designs that don't exactly meet the same bar I have to get creative with the way I design it as well as complete the unity for the art itself.

It had been a while since I experimented with a ton of brushes in one art piece which ended up with this silly rain storm that DogDay found himself in being the result which I am happy with considering it was something I wanted to draw for a while. For this art, I really just tried focusing a bit on the unity as well as the tone of the whole piece rather than just DogDay as I wanted to see what I could do with the brushes I was experimenting with to bring it all together.
