Hana’s legs swung back and forth as she sat on the examination table. The hospital gown she wore loosely fluttered with her idle movements. She hummed a wandering tune as she sat, its melody directionless but its pitch heavenly. On the surface, she seemed tranquil, but her heart pumped furiously in her chest. Her dream was almost a reality.
Her head down, she had a good look at her insignificant self. The gown did little to improve its features, but even with the most gorgeous dresses and tight swimsuits, her body was pitiful. Puberty had scorned her with slight bumps and minuscule dents. She was thin, yes, but her hips were nearly in line with her waist and her boobs were easily rivaled by a chubby man’s. She could honestly pass as a boy if it wasn’t for her charming face, the only part of her that was graced with beauty.
Her unlucky lot had caused her endless ridicule during high school and constant embarrassment during her college years, and not even her en
