It is with a lot of pleasure today that I can finally announce the completion of the Medusa's Garden series. This process involved taking the original digital graphite version and painting it at very high resolution – most of the time with detail brushes measuring the equivalent of 2 human hairs across. At this point I'm just glad to be moving on (or should I say backward) to a number of new things that are half done and waiting for some attention!
Now, back to work :)

I was a bit concerned after the work was declined from #EliteArtists and #Europeans in January (...what????), because you get caught between wondering if there's something wrong with it or if you've just got in the way of an admin that only has an eye for manga. In any case the sticking point is that if art doesn't have a satisfactory audience then it isn't fulfilling its purpose. For me the publicity on this occasion was badly needed to give the work the eyes that it deserved.
