Thanks for sharing! It's a sad fact of paleoart that many reconstructions move from "speculative but possible" to "very unlikely" to "wrong" as new information is uncovered and published.

I'm not sure if it makes more sense to delete old artworks that fall into the "unlikely" and "wrong" categories, or leave them up with disclaimers as a record of changing ideas and personal artistic growth.

Haplocheirus sollers [speculative and outdated]

Thanks! I trust that Dr. Hone and Dr. Holtz had good reason for including the specific skeletal diagram that they used in the paper ("modified from the original by Genya Masukawa"), and I tried to follow that one.

Dr. Scott Hartman also has a great series of posts on why his updated Spinosaurus skeletal drawing is different from previous versions (it looks a bit different from the one in the paper, but overall more similar than the previous M-shaped sail version), which details what parts are speculative and which are based on known specimens. I'd definitely recommend reading his work on the subject if you're interested:

Spinosaurus

Both! I intended it to look well fed and robust, and the angle does seem to emphasize that.
