Sky Medusa by MickMcDee Sky Medusa by MickMcDee
Finally something new!!!

In the last weeks I was working on my story about future evolution of men and earth (and unfortunately hadn't the time to draw something). So, what will have happened after 100 million years have past? Will the mankind survive on earth or maybe develope into something completely new when we enter other habital planets. Honestly, i have no idea but i masterminded some weird stuff . . .

One of the future earth creatures is this Sky Medusa, the descendant of the Portuguese man-o-war. It has developed some bizarre characteristics. The normal tentacles at the attachment at the back are poisonous to paralyze or even kill the prey, which will be slashed by the two extremely specialized tentacles (the scythes at the front). In the "nose" of the medusa is a sucker which consumes the predisgested meat.

The Sky Medusas live in in the clouds of future earth and patrol along the landsides. But what is their prey? I think I will show it in some of my next pictures. . .

Hope you like my sky medusa! I really this work, think its one of my best! So, keep on watching and please comment!!!

the sky medusa looks really colorful and those textures in the skin look almost biomechanical but it's purely biological anyway.

Faszinierend... Ist das unter dem Schirm ein Atmungs -oder ein Verdauungsorgan?

I'm charmed by the beauty of this critter.
Did our lovely jellyfish manage to grow a big brain? Or is it something else?

Their prey should be an advanced form of jellyfish like the periphylla [link]

I personally like the dark outline, it gives it a cartoony feel, yet still looks realistic.
