Description
The pond is actually artificial and was dug when the hamlet was founded. Hence the relatively straight-line banks / shores. It's got about nine "acre-feet" of water in it, more that enough to see the hamlet through droughts.
The straight lines of trees around the fields and pond are all fruit or nut trees. This provides wind-breaks for the fields, adds production yield, provides bee-feed plus other benefits.
